Crazy Star Ravi Teja’s latest film ‘Mirapakai’ will be releasing in the theaters on 6th of January. The movie was supposed to release on 23rd December earlier is postponed to 6th due to its post-production works. However, the trade analysts say that the film’s postponement too is a good idea since Nagarjuna’s ‘Ragada’ is releasing on 23rd December.

So, there would be a week gap between ‘Ragada’ and ‘Mirapakai’.Richa Gangopadhyay and Deeksha Seth are playing the female leads in the film. ‘Mirapakaya’ is directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Ramesh Puppala under Yellow Flowers banner. The search for the cast of ‘3-Idiots’ have finally returned to the initial point. Earlier there was news that Mahesh Babu and Vijay are playing the lead roles in Telugu and Tamil versions. Though not officially stated, Mahesh seems to be out of the project since he cannot afford his call sheets. Actor Vijay is also said to be out of the project in Tamil too for other reasons.
Now, director Shankar is again in search of the cast.

The latest reports say either Surya or Ajith will cast in the lead role of the film and the film will be made bilingually in Tamil and Telugu versions with the same cast. Nothing is official yet and we need to see if either of these actors will engage in this Bollywood’s super hit remake.

Senior producer K Devi Vara Prasad who has been suffering from respiratory diseases since the past few months passed away in the afternoon at Hyderabad on Friday. Prasad has been undergoing treatment at KIMS hospital in Secunderabad for the past few days.68 year old Prasad who entered film production thanks to the encouragement by The great N T Rama Rao, produced movies like 'Balle Thammudu', 'Kondaveeti Raja', 'Manchi Donga', 'Gharana Mogudu',' Amma Rajeenama', ' Alluda Mazaaka', ' Mrugaraju' through his Devi Films banner.

He also served as general secretary to the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce."He passed away at 1.10 pm today due to respiratory illness" confirmed a source close to his family. Telugu film industry expressed grief at his demise to the family members of Prasad. A few actors and producers rushed to the hospital to get a glimpse of him.He last rites are likely to be conducted in his hometown Vijayawada this Sunday.

Representatives from AP Filmchamber, Telugu film producers' council, Movie artistes' association(MAA) and 24 craft associations decided to halt all film shootings in Hyderabad until all the issues concerning the Telugu film industry are resolved. After the attack of fighters from Telugu film industry on fight artistes from Chennai on the sets of 'Kandireega' on Wednesday, industry personalities decided to meet on Thursday and resolve all disputes within themselves. But since MAA and Producers council wanted to discuss other problems like increasing budgets and star remunerations, the meeting on Thursday was not fruitful.

It was decided by representatives of all the 24 crafts in Tollywood to therefore halt all film shootings being held in Hyderabad inorder to enable the artistes to attend the meeting.A meeting of Producers' council, Film Chamber of commerce, Movie artistes' association will be held with all the other associations to resolve all issues and enable peaceful conduct of film shootings in the city hereafter. Sources say the concerns of local artistes' losing out work to Tamil artistes' will be the main agenda of the meeting.

Film chamber representatives however clarified that it was decided to halt film shootings of Telugu movies being held in Hyderabad only and not other parts of the state or country."The film laboratories and theatres can continue their work too as they don't fall under the 24 crats category. This will also avoid trouble to movies like 'Ragada' which are in post production work. " said a representative from AP Film Chamber of Commerce.

Telugu film producers council and film chamber has decided to stop shooting on Thursday (December 9) following a fight between the film 'fight' artistes of Telugu film industry and a fight artistes from Chennai on the sets of Ram starrer 'Kandireega' Sources say, the fight began when a few locall fight artistes barged into the sets of Kandireega being shot in the city outskirts on Thursday and beat up fight artistes from Chennai accusing them of taking away their work in Tollywood.
Following the murky fight and fisticuffs between fight artistes, the shooting got cancelled.

Local fight artistes lodged a complaint with the AP Film Chamber of commerce decided to cancel all Telugu film shootings on Thursday Confirming the fight, actor Ram who is the hero of 'Kandireega' tweeted on twitter,"Oh God!jus came back home after the shoot got cancelled temporarily coz of some union problems with the fighters association..donno where these people came from but some 50 fighters came on sets and fought with some of the fighters workin for our film..Sad how there's no proper understanding between the unions!hope things get resolved soon n we get to shoot from the evening!
