Allu Arjun’s ‘Varudu’ that released yesterday has received overwhelming reception from the audience.‘Varudu’ the movie about Indian Marriage, etc. has received a record collection of Rs.7.28 crores for the first day. Trade Pundits declare that this collection is a first of sorts for Allu Arjun’s career and one of the highest grossing collections in Telugu cinema history.

Reacting to the overwhelming response, Allu Arjun was very happy and thanked his fans and the media for their support. In a press meet, he also happened to tell that the collections are soaring high.

Kamal Hassan’s biography is all set to enter into the records of Ginness world book. Manikandan, a person from Srivilliputtur in Tamil Nadu wrote a biography on Kamal. He named the book which contains 1458 letters and 330 words, which are set to break the records of 2007 placed by an Italian, who had named his book with 1,433 and 290 words.

Even before, he entered the Guinness book of world record by creating a 24-mm chess board, 163-gm silver fan, 110-gm silver bike etc.

The beautifull actress Kajal Agarwal, who created sensation with her performance in ‘Magadheera’, has bagged a prestigious offer under MS Raju’s production banner in which she plays the lead role. The movie has been titled as ‘Chandi’.

It is being directed by famous director Kodi Rama Krishna. The movie will be announced officially on May 10 coinciding with MS Raju’s birthday event. At present, Kajal is also acting opposite Jr. Ntr in ‘Brindavanam’.

Multilingual actress Asin Thottumkal has been voted Youth Icon of Kerala in a public in a poll conducted by the Asianet TV channel.“The poll was conducted for over 15 days and involved a lot of personalities. Asin came out the winner since she is intelligent and representative of the thinking youth. She is talented, beautiful and has done Kerala proud, said a source.

On March 26, the actress was given the honour in the presence of the Who’s Who of the south Indian film industry and political leaders. A seven-year-old fan of Asin presented her the award since she idolises Asin. It was a touching gesture and overwhelmed Asin,” said the source.

The actress was also awarded a cash prize which she donated to a hospital’s palliative care department that concentrates on reducing the severity of disease symptoms.
