Popular Telugu director-producer K B Tilak has passed away today September 23 at KIMS hospital. He was 84. The veteran producer was in the hospital for some time. The veteran producer-director was born in West Godavari district in 1926. He was one of the early stalwarts who saw cinema as a strong medium to mould minds.

In his long career in films K B Tilak has contributed to Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Marathi film industries. Some of his best Telugu movies include Muddu Bidda, MLA, Atta Oka Inti Kodalay, Chitti Tammudu, Bhomi Kosam and Dharmavaddi.On Hindi his two colour films Choti Bahu and Kangan are notable. He made Dharmapatni in Marathi and Maamiyaarum Oru Veetu Marumgaley in Tamil.

KB Tilak has also introduced many legendary actors and technicians through his films. Veteran singer S Janaki debuted as singer in his film MLA. He also introduced young Jayaprada in Bhumikosam. Even in his personal life KB Tilak lived a clean life and worked for the downtrodden.

Orange audio to be release on Oct 6th! - JustTollywood.com News

A couple of days back it was said that the audio of his much anticipated Ram Charan Teja’s upcoming flick ‘Orange’ is going to hit the music stands on October 3rd. Now, according to latest sources the audio is going to release on October 6th. The makers are planning to release the movie in November i.e; either on 5th or 11th. Currently the film is in its final leg of shooting and with the canning of few important scenes, the shooting will wrap up in a couple of days.

Orange is Charan’s high budget film and it casts bubbly actress Genelia and Shahzahan Padamsee playing the lead opposite him. Madhurima is going to play a prominent role in the film. The film is directed by ‘Bommarillu’ fame Bhaskar and produced by Naga Babu under Anjana Productions. Aditya Music has bagged the audio rights of the film for a huge amount. Harris Jayraj has scored the music.

NTR Jr. comes to screens with ‘Brindaavanam’ this October. And at the music launch of the movie, the director Vamshi Paidpally and producer Dil Raju were gung-ho about the movie! They even went on to state that the movie will be a blockbuster! NTR Jr. as he is known but fondly called as Tarak has given some of the biggest blockbusters but off late, his movies haven’t been churning out success as expected. Although ‘Kantri’ and ‘Adhurs’ were not super hits, NTR’s last hit was Krishna Vamsi’s ‘Rakhi’ in 2006.

Take a look at this, NTR’s biggest blockbuster is ‘Simhadri’ directed by Rajamouli. It had two heroines, Bhumika and Ankitha. But after ‘Simhadri’, NTR’s ‘2 heroine movies’ were not really hits, not even average grossers! ‘Narasimhudu’, ‘Naa Alludu’, ‘Allari Ramudu’ were nightmares for NTR and his fans to forget.

Coming to the sunny side of this discussion, Dil Raju, the clever producer who has a high success rate is producing the movie. At ‘Brindaavanam’s Music launch, Dil Raju said the movie would definitely be a landmark in NTR’s career. This is not the usual NTR movie but it will have all elements to satisfy his fans! Dil Raju stated that he completely trusted the story brought forward by director Vamshi Paidpally.

Only time will answer our queries, if fans and audiences like ‘Brindaavanam’! As Dil Raju said, NTR and he wanted to make a movie only if it was worth a blockbuster! Varun Sandesh’s new movie ‘Emaindhi Ee Vela’ is almost complete barring a song. With Nisha as his heroine, Varun is riding high in this romantic movie produced by K.Radha Mohan on Sathya Sai Arts banner. According to the producer, the title of the movie has received good response from all quarters. The producer confidently says that the movie will be talked about movie of the year 2010. ‘Emaindhi Ee Vela’ is directed by Sampath Nandi.

The producer adds that a special song has been made lavishly on heroine Madhu Sharma that has been choreographed by Brinda. He also says that the post production has started. While the editing has been done, the dubbing of the movie is currently happening. The audio launch of the movie is likely to happen in the 1st week of October.

Besides Varun and Nisha, the others in the cast include Shashank, Vennela Kishore, MS Narayana, Krishna Bhagwan, Jhansi, Pragathi and others. Chakri handles the music department. The producer hoped to release the movie on 22nd October.

The shooting of Suresh Productions’ forthcoming movie ‘Alasyam Amrutham’ starring Nikhil and Madalasa Sharma, has completed and the movie will be released during the soon to come festival time of year.

The shooting of ‘Alasyam Amrutham’ was well planned. The shooting of the whole movie was held in a single schedule counting just 36 days, to be precise! The movie is directed by Chandra Mahesh. The movie was mostly shot in Vizag, Araku and surrounding areas.

Veteran music director Koti is composing the tunes for the movie. Senior comedians such as MS Narayana, Dharmavarapu Subramaniam and others including fresh faces are part of the cast.

The unit of ‘Kathi Kantharao’ recently returned from Bangkok after shooting 3 songs there. Director EVV Satyanarayana promises two hours of laughter and says that the whole family will enjoy the movie! Naresh’s comedy in this movie will show him in a new way.

Talking about Naresh’s character, he plays a police constable who with his wits, thinks and solves the complex of problems! So we’ll have to see how he does it in ‘Kathi Kantharao’ when it is due to release next month!

A section of the media seems to be reporting news that writer -director Posani Krishna Murali is acting in a movie directed by himself with pretty lass Sanjana as his pair. But they seem to be misleading and the true news is that Posani will direct Srikanth and Sanjana in a new movie titled ‘Dushasana’

Posani Krishna Murali, a writer who thinks out of the box made the interesting ‘Operation Duryodhana’ with Srikanth before. Right from the title, everyone appreciated the movie for its take on Indian politics. The same combo is back and even this time, the story holds a social message.

Sanjana, who’s off late making waves in Kannada will be Srikanth’s pair in the movie. Reports have it that there will be another leading heroine as well. Just like how Srikanth had a new look in ‘Operation Duryodhana’, sources say he might be shown in a different light even in ‘Dushasana’.The shooting for the new movie will commence next month.

Back are the days where we would find pure Telugu titles! It has only been the hero’s character’s name that fits in to the title in majority of the films but here is going to come a multi-starrer with a beautiful title! A buzz has been happening for quite sometime that a new movie to be directed by Srikanth Addala, the director of ‘Kotha Bangarulokam’, has been titled as ‘Sitamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’. The movie is currently in its scripting stage and its progress to the shooting floor is soon to happen.

Look at that title, when was the last time you heard a long one such as this for a movie before? Such titles assure us the sanctity of Telugu language in Telugu cinema! Look at the titles these days, writers are either inspired by English titles or Hindi, though there are a few Telugu enthusiasts and lovers in the film industry who are trying hard to keep the language alive!

But Mahesh Babu came with a bang with Krishna Vamsi’s ‘Murari’ in Feburary 2001. And the following year, i.e. in 2002 October 31st, Mahesh Babu acted in a dud ‘Bobby’, a total disappointment! But the all time hit ‘Okkadu’ came to Mahesh’s rescue again in the beginning of 2003.

We’re not done here! Mahesh’s last release ‘Athidhi’ was also an October release, in the year 2007!
