Popular  Telugu director-producer K  B Tilak has passed  away today September 23 at KIMS hospital. He was 84. The  veteran  producer was in the hospital for some time. The veteran  producer-director was born  in West  Godavari district in 1926. He was one of the early  stalwarts who saw  cinema as a strong medium to mould minds.
                         In his long career in films K B Tilak has contributed  to Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Marathi film industries. Some of his best  Telugu movies include Muddu  Bidda, MLA,  Atta  Oka Inti Kodalay, Chitti   Tammudu, Bhomi  Kosam and Dharmavaddi.On  Hindi his two colour films Choti Bahu and Kangan  are notable. He made Dharmapatni in Marathi and Maamiyaarum Oru Veetu  Marumgaley  in Tamil.
                         KB Tilak has also  introduced many legendary actors  and technicians through his films. Veteran singer S Janaki debuted as  singer in his film MLA.  He also introduced young Jayaprada in  Bhumikosam. Even in his personal life KB Tilak lived a clean life  and worked for the downtrodden.
