For the first time,Nagarjuna is acting in movie with full of computer graphics.The movie is titled ‘Damarukham’ and it is to be launched on Saturday (Feb 12, 2011) evening at Annapoorna Studios. Srinivas Reddy, who so far directed only comedies and graphical fantasy movie with Venu, is directing this film which will have about one hour run time of computer graphics and visual effects.R R Movie Makers is producing this film
One of the most awaited and biggest release of this summer,Shakthi is in its final leg of filming.The film has recently wrapped up its action sequences,under the supervision of fight master Shiva. A little talkie part on NTR and Brahmanandam is currently being shot in Hyderabad.This socio-fantasy film is being directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by Ashwini Dutt under his banner Vyjayanthi Movies.The audio of the film, scored by Mani Sharma might launch either in the last week of February or in the first week of March. The movie is slated for a release on 30th March.
Jagapathi Babu starrer Chattam is gearing up for its release on 26th February.Vimala Raman is playing the female lead in the film.The duo has earlier set the screens on fire with their sizzling chemistry in Gaayam2. Jagapathi Babu, who was recently appreciated for his role in Jai Bolo Telangana is trying out another distinct role in Chattam. Currently, the movie is being filmed at Ramoji film city.Chattam is being directed by Arun Prasad and produced by Natti Kumar and Satyanarayana.Other supporting cast includes Bramanandam,Venu Madhav,Sayaji shinde, Ashish Vidhyarthi,Pradeep Rawat,Saleem Panda and Rao Ramesh.

Incidentally, he is simultaneously working in '180' which is being directed by Jayendran an ad film maker who just turned director.Siddharth's biggest hit till date was 'Bommarillu' and the director of the film Bhaskar debuted with that movie. Ditto with 'Oy!' with which Aanand Ranga turned director.'Oh My Friend' is believed to be about complications in friendship and conflict between it and love.The film will go on floors soon.

Ramcharan attended the Telugu association meeting at Burma this week. The star was the chief guest at the 100th Burma Telugu association meeting at Yagoon.Apparently over 4 lakh Telugu people live in Burma and Cherry was overwhelmed to be their guest."I loved the place, people and food here" the actor tweeted.The association is called Andhra Maharaja Sangham which has been operative since the past 100 years. The association conducts cultural fests with local Telugu groups every year.
Since this was the 100th year,the association decided to invite Charan who readily agreed to be their guest.Meanwhile, the government of AP in collaboration with Telugu University too conducted a All India Telugu Mahasabha at Berhampur in Orissa last week which was attended by Telugu poets, writers and literary scholars.

She is also all set to enter Telugu film industry with 'Ragini MMS' which is being shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu.Rajkumar Yadav, Kinaz Motiwala are playing the leads in this film. Ekta deleted the alphabet 'G' from the title following the advise of a numerologist and thereafter everything seems to have fallen in place for her. She reveals that this action thriller will appeal to Telugu audience as it is being shot keeping the audience of both Hindi and Telugu market in mind.Pavan Kriplavi is directing the film."This movie is based on a real life story. It is an action thriller that with a racy screenplay.We will release the film soon" Ekta informed.
Nani,Haripriya and Bindu Madhavi starrer 'Pilla Zamindar' is busy shooting in Guntur.The film unit informed that 70 per cent of the shooting is complete and that the shooting will continue in Guntur town and outskirts until February 20th. Four songs are yet to be shot for this love entertainer. M S Narayana,Rao Ramesh,Nagineedu,Avasarala Srinivas, Sameer, Vennela Kishore et al will be seen in important roles in this flick.Selva Ganesh composes music while Ashok is directing this movie.S S Bujjibabu is producing this film on S S Cinema banner.D S Rao is presenting the movie."Nani has a country side look in the film. Damarukam’ directed by Srinivasa Reddy and produced by Venkat of RR Movie Makers is all set to hit the floors on February 12.Nagarjuna had ended last year with a moderate hit like ‘Ragada’ and it had completed 50 days recently. His next flick ‘Gaganam’ which had hit the screens on February 11 also got a positive response and the taking of the film impressed the audiences.His film ‘Rajanna’ directed by Vijayendra Prasad produced on the banner of Annapurna Studios is on sets, with SS Rajamouli handling the action scenes. Even as ‘Rajanna’ is on sets, Nagarjuna is tightening his belt for his next film ‘Damarukam’ on February 12.It is learnt that it is a socio-fantasy film and involves around 50 minutes of graphics on screen. Anushka is playing the heroine in this movie.The film is slated for release as Sankranti gift next year.
Maheshbabu’s forthcoming flick ‘Dookudu’ had completed its shooting schedule in Gujarat recently. Before the Gujarat schedule, the unit had shot some key scenes and songs in Malaysia and Turkey.In the previous schedule that was wrapped up in Gujarat, the director shot a song and some key scenes on Maheshbabu and Samantha at Kutch. The next schedule of the film would begin in Hyderabad from February 15 and it will continue till March 3.Directed by Sreenu Vaitla, the film is being produced by Anil Sunkara on the banner of 14 Reels Entertainments.As per the film unit, it is a commercial masala film with comedy and action in its backdrop. Maheshbabu is working hard to complete the film as soon as possible and is planning to resume shooting for ‘The Business Man’ under Puri’s direction.
Ramgopal Varma’s recently launched "Dongala Muta" film third shooting is going on in Rock Castle hotel in Hyderabad. Now the latest news is that two more actors joined in that Dongala Muta’s team. Earlier the movie has only five actors RaviTeja,Charmi,Brahmanandam,Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna and Prakashraj. Now two more actors Venu Madhav and Sunil have joined the cast of the film.

Selvaraghavan’s engagement with Geetanjali was held at the bride’s residence on yesterday (February 10th) at 10.30 am. The marriage date has been fixed and it is going to be held on July 3rd, 2011 in Chennai. Director Meher Ramesh, who is busy with the schedules of NTR’s Shakthi might soon direct a film with Nandamuri Bala Krishna. As per the sources, Meher Ramesh is holding discussions with Bala Krishna about the new venture. However, reports say the actor is yet to give his nod for the film.
Bala Krishna is currently busy with Paruchuri Murali directorial, in which he will be seen in a triple role. The actor is also simultaneously shooting for Sri Rama Rajyam under Bapu direction. If Bala Krishna gives his nod to Meher Ramesh’s film, the film will start rolling after these couple of flicks gets wrapped up. Meanwhile, Meher Ramesh will complete Shakthi, which is scheduled for its release on 30th March.
