Its title is funny. Usually used to mock someone's inferior status, the title of Nani's forthcoming film starts with the word 'pilla'. However, get ready for a family entertainer, because it is not a parody or a comedy. Here, Nani stars with Hari Priya and Bindu Madhavi. Now done with the shoot, the film is scheduled for a Dussehra release. Directed by Ashok G, Pilla Zamindar's music is by Selva Ganesh. Due to some unforeseen reasons, the youngster of a Zamindari clan is forced to live an ordinary life. The premise is not new, given that we have in the past seen factionists, descendants of kings et al, living the lives of underdogs due to circumstances.However, it is interesting that a young hero like Nani, known only for safe commercial films, is playing the role.

Santosh Sivan's cinematogrphical marvel, Urimi, will be screened at the NHK Asian Film Festival in Japan. The film, released in August 2011, was originally made in Malayalam and subsequently dubbed in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. The South Indian film was set in the 15th century and Vasco da Gama's expedition of Kerala formed the backdrop of the story.A mix of both fact and fiction, Urumi starred Prithvi, Prabhu Deva, Genelia D'Souza, Jagathy Ravikumar in the main cast. Lauded by critics, it was also lapped up by the lovers of historical-fantasy films.Made a big scale, it starred Vidya Balan, Tabu and Arya in cameos. The dialogues, written in neat prose, are a piece de resistance of the film.Its international stature was a foregone conclusion.

Ravi Teja's film shoot disrupted - JustTollywood.com News
It was the turn of Ravi Teja to face the ire of self-proclaimed Telangana activists when he was shooting for 'Nippu' at Saddupally village in Hayathnagar. He was made to raise Jai Telangana slogans by the activists who stormed into the shooting spot.The star obliged the demand of the over 60 activists. They were seemingly placated by the actor's favourable reaction.However, the unit, helmed by Gunasekhar the director, decided to halt the shoot. Though they had taken police permission, there was no protection offered to them.It is learnt that the film makers decided not to file a complaint with the police. The unknown activists left the spot after raising a cry without damaging any shooting equipment.
