Vijayabhaskar to direct Pawan Kalyan - JustTollywood.com News



K Vijayabhaskar, who has not had a single hit every since Nuvvu Naku Nacchav, is going to soon direct Pawan Kalyan in April. The film will be written by his trusted assistant Trivikram, with whom he is teaming up many years after Jai Chiranjeeva.
The film will be produced by comedian-turned-producer Ganesh Babu, who has made the unsuccessful Anjaneyulu in 2009. Though other details of the rest of the cast and crew are yet to be known, it has been planned that the film will go on floors from April.
For Vijayabhaskar, it is a big comeback after continuous flops in the recent years. Also, with Trivikram, who has himself turned a director, KVB is sure to strike the right note. The hit combination has delivered three big hits in the last decade - Nuvve Kavali, Nuvvu Naku Nacchav and Manmathudu, two with big stars.
After directing Chiranjeevi in 2005, Pawan is the biggest hero with whom the talented director is working. The audience can expect a laugh riot!

Dubbed films galore in the new year - JustTollywood.com News


In the new year, dubbed films have come in a good number than usual. What is striking is that most of them are bid-budgeted fares and prestigious projects. It began with Yuganiki Okkadu, a Rs. 30 cr. film by Sri Raghava, starring Karthi, Reema Sen and Parthiban. The film was released in January.
It has been followed by Siddharth-starrer Striker, which is a Hindi original. The film did not see wide release in Telugu. In the film, our 'chocolate boy' plays a carrom player, who likes to gamble his way to windfall money-making. Critics have called it as a film that has struck new ground, but sadly in Telugu, it didn't get noticed.
It will soon be seconded by Vishal -starrer Khiladi and Vijay-starrer Dopidi in the same month. While Vishal will be seen as a 'cow boy' in the film, that's for the first time, Vijay will be seen with Trisha in the 'rob-the-rich-guy' story, obviously titled Dopidi.
The budget of all these films is expected to be around Rs. 60 cr., if not more. Two of them have already been judged, while the other two are yet to hit the marquee.

Vijay,Trisha's film in Telugu:Dopidi - JustTollywood.com News



Kuruvi is the Tamil film in which Vijay and Trisha are seen together. The film has been directed by Dharani, the successful director of films like Gilli and Dhool. The same film will soon be dubbed in Telugu.
The film has fared average at the box office in Tamil Nadu. 'Kuruvi', which will be titled 'Dopidi' in Telugu, is about a poor man amassing the wealth of a rich man and using it for the good of his people.
The film has music by Vidhya Sagar and is presented by J Madhusudhana Reddy. Suman has portrayed the role of a mafia don in the film.Also seen in the film are Mallavika, Nasser, Asish Vidhyarthi, Vivek and Jeeva in important characters.Let's see if Vijay's dubbed film will be liked by the audience here.

Puri Jagannadh himself in 'Ye Maya Chesave' - JustTollywood.com News



Puri Jagannadh is playing himself in Nag Chaitanya's forthcoming film Yemaya Chesave. Though that doesn't come as a surprise to those who find the director media-savvy, that he is playing himself is a news.
In the film, directed by Tamil director Gautham Vasudeva Menon, the young actor plays an aspiring filmmaker. He works as an assistant under a star-director, which is Puri. It is not known if his role is a lengthy one in the film.
It has been a kept under wraps all the while, and has been revealed only now. The film is a love story, in which the hero and heroine play an inter-religious couple.Let's see if Mr. Jagannadh excels in his new role!

Has 'Puli' been reshot? - JustTollywood.com News



The buzz is that some portions of Pawan Kalyan's forthcoming film Puli have been re-filmed. The film went on the floors in the last leg of 2008, when Chiranjeevi had just entered politics.It was widely published in the media that Pawan included a scene as per revolutionary balladeer Gaddar's advice, and other scenes which propagated his political vision.
However, the scenes are learnt to have been deleted from the film altogether. Manya scenes were shot in Hyderabad in the light of the then political situation in the state, all of which will not be a part of the movie.The film was scheduled for a release in December 2009, but has not seen the light of the day. The new date doing the rounds is March 31.

I broke my leg during Suvarna Sundari's shoot: ANR - JustTollywood.com News



Akkineni Nageswara Rao has revealed that he broke his leg during the shooting of the Suvarna Sundari, which coincided with that of the legendary 'Maya Bazaar'. He said that the shooting of the latter had to be stalled for a period of 4 months, which considered a long period in 1957, as the actor was unable to work.
Reminiscing the old days, he said that it remained a secret all along that he was unable to use his leg freely for almost ten years. He said that he never let it out and was saying it now on the occasion of the colour version's release.
In Mayabazaar, ANR had to act in a trying scene, which needed physical strain. As he was unable to do it, the makers decided to postpone the shooting for a period of 4 months.
Fondly recalling the greatness of those associated with the film, ANR made this confession. He said that he had faced difficulty due to the accident.
