Jai Bolo Telangana resulted as a hit in Nizam region and now the film-makers are trying to cash this opportunity. The latest film to reach the big screens is Udyamam with a tag line Maa Oopiri. Prof. Kodandaram, the OUJAC convener has launched the logo of the film a couple of days back. Udyamam is being directed as well as produced by Vangari Chandrasekhar .

Harish Pai is a popular choreographer and was responsible for different songs for Power Star Pawan Kalyan in the past.He is also an active member of Pawan Kalyan Creative Works team.The latest buzz from the Film Nagar is that the Power Star is planning to promote him as a director for his next film to be produced by himself on the banner of Pawan Kalyan Creative Works.Very recently, he had registered a new title with the Film Chamber called ‘Taswa Maidan’, which means Judgement Ground. Taking a cue from Ram Gopal Varma in making the film in a short time, Pawan Kalyan too is planning to wrap up the shooting in just three months and the speciality of the film is that it has no songs at all.

This April witnesses the clash of titans of the Telugu film industry.The month is beginning with the release of ‘Shakthi’directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by Ashwini Dutt on the banner of Vyjayanti Movies with NTR and Ileana in the lead on April 1.Next week, Dil Raju’s film Mr Perfect is slated for release on April 7 with Prabhas, Kajal and Tapsee in the lead roles directed by Dasarath.Immediately after that it is Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Teenmaar’ is hitting the screens on April month.In addition to these films, ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’ and ‘100% Love’ are also slated for release soon. So Prabhas has to compete with both NTR and Pawan Kalyan whose films are releasing a week before and after to the release of Mr Perfect. Let us wait and watch how far he could give them a competition and survive.

President of India Pratibha Patil on Thursday presented the first set of the Padma awards for the current year to 61 recipients, including singing legend S P Balasubrahmanyam, actor Jayaram and actress Tabu.The President presented the awards at a function attended by Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and other high profile guests at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday evening.While S P Balasubrahmanyam was honoured with the Padma Bhusan, both Jayaram and Tabu were presented Padma Shri. All the three expressed happiness for receiving one of the highest honours of the country.In all, the government on the eve of the Republic Day had announced a list of 128 Padma awards winners —13 Padma Vibhushan, 31 Padma Bhushan and 84 Padma Shri. Another investiture ceremony is scheduled for April 1 to honour the remaining awardees.

Madhura Sridhar Reddy who has been searching for a heroine for his film It Is My Love Story ,finally found one.Her name is Sarayu and she is from Guntur.Sridhar has launched a star hunt for his movie and asked youngsters from across the state to send their applications.He selected Sarayu from thousands of portfolios and emails he recieved personally. He disclosed that the shooting for his movie will start on April 6th on which he will announce the details of the hero, heroine and other crew for this movie.

He wanted to introduce fresh faces in this film and hence tied up with a few media and radio stations for this star hunt.Though he found a few pretty girls who could be his movie heroine, there weren't interested in pursuing career for acting and amongst the ones he recieved, most of them were not apt for his charecter.Finally, since he got the heroine, he is glad. Dr Munna Venkata Krishna Reddy an NRI from South Africa is going to produce this picture.

This movie which went on floors last month,completed 30 per cent of its work.Two songs have been picturised already.The movie unit informed that Krishnudu and the movie crew will fly to Bangkok next month to shoot three songs for this film. Ramvenky is the director of the film and K Sureshbabu is producing it on Sri Shiva Parvati combines banner. Suresh, Ali, Hema, M S Narayana, Master Bharath, Venu Tillu, Thagubotu Ramesh, Gundu Hanumantha Rao ,Munna et al play roles in this movie. K M Radhakrishnan is composing the tunes for this movie and the recording of the songs is already complete."We shot two songs for this movie recently. 'Shakthi' gets A certificate - JustTollywood.com News

NTR’s upcoming film Shakthi has been censored a week ahead of its release.The film has been given an A certificate and the board suggested few minor cuts.The high adrenaline action film has Jr NTR, Ileana, Prabhu, Sonu Sood and others in lead roles.The film’s about Shakthi Peethams and has some elements of fantasy as well apart from a part of the story which is set in modern times.Buzz is that NTR would be seen in four different roles in the film.Two of these avatars have been revealed; however the makers have been extra-careful to not reveal anything about the other two characters so that there’s enough surprise left for the audience.

Despite the censor having been completed a week ahead, the producer of the film Ashwini Dutt has decided to postpone the date of release by couple of days.Earlier, the film was being planned for release on March 30.However, it has been officially confirmed that the film would hit the screens on April 1st.The Tamil version of the film, Om Shakthi would release on April 2.The film has been getting some terrific business offers for distribution rights from all corners of the state and also overseas region. In Ceded region alone, the film has been offered a sum of close to Rs 10 crores for distribution rights. The much awaited film has been directed by Meher Ramesh and Mani Sharma has composed the music.
