With Nithya in his kitty,it is Advantage Nani - JustTollywood.com News

After much shilly-shallying, the makers of Gautham Menon's tri-lingual romantic caper have announced the name of male lead in Telugu. The position remained vacant for good two weeks after Ram opted out of the project citing the likelihood of its shoot taking plenty time because it is being simultaneously made in three languages. The result is that it has become Nani's advantage. The actor has been signed to be hero in the Telugu version, titled Nithya. Samantha is the female lead.

The producers kept all this under the wraps until the deal was finalised. Produced by RS Infotech, the film has music by AR Rehman. Gautham Menon is understandably satisfied with the way Nani carried himself in Veppam (dubbed in Telugu as Sega). Ala Modalaindi proved that the stubble-faced actor can be at ease with romantic movies. It is hoped that Nithya will consolidate his position in the industry.

JD wants to scare the audience - JustTollywood.com News

JD Chekravarthi wants to scare, finally, the audience. 'Scare the audience?' Is it not what he infamously did through Money Money More Money which is, ironically, a comedy? you might want to ask. This time around, he wants to get it all right and scare the audience by making a good horror movie. Post the super failure of his last directorial, he wants to make sure that he doesn't end up scaring himself.

Gadpu is his next film, which will be a horror movie. He is introducing his 9-year old nephew Amit in this film. Gadpu is set in New York and the story takes place for most part in a house (that belongs to his sister in real life). Hope JD will succeed in his mission by coming out with a film that will be found to be exciting.

In area after area - Andhra, Ceded, Nizam and even the market in other States - the film is creating records of sorts. (Breaking records would be a misnomer, the superstar's fans might tell you).

What about the Overseas share? It is the highest, again. The film has amassed an unprecedented one million dollars in on Sept. 23 and 24. The film's first week share is expected to surpass that of Magadheera. Dookudu is helped by the holiday season. It is Mahesh's terrific performance, the presence of ace comedians like Brahmanandam, well-picturized songs and slick action that everyone is talking about.

Natti Kumar complains about black ticketing - JustTollywood.com News

Raising his voice against the rampant black ticketing at theatres screening super hits and films starring big heroes, Natti Kumar, Chairman of the Producer's Sector, fulminated against the trend and said that it should be curbed immediately. He felt that black ticketing, which is going unchecked, is draining the pockets of ordinary film goers. While it loots the hard earned money of film patrons, black ticketing profiteers the exhibitors and producers. Natti was angry that the moolah made through such means go into the pockets of these parties as unaccounted money.

It was clear that he invited the press for a briefing at the Press Club to vent his ire at the alleged black ticketing prevalent at theatres screening Dookudu. He felt that if tickets are sold at rates higher than those fixed by the government, the audience will be (discouraged to watch the movies in theatres and) encouraged to go for the option of pirated CDs. May Natti's well meaning outbursts not go unheeded.
