'Veera' filming at Gachibowli - JustTollywood.com News



Ravi Teja, Tapsee, Kajal Agarwal’s undershoot film Veera is currently progressing at YSR Stadium, Gachi Bowli in Hyderabad.Ravi Teja will be seen two different roles in the film and director promises one of the roles to be as powerful as Vikramarkudu. Veera is the highest budgeted film for Ravi Teja till date and the film is touted as an action entertainer with ample comedy. Ramesh Varma is the director of the film and Paruchuri Brothers for story and Abburi Ravi are penning the dialogues. Veera is being made under Sanvi Productions banner.The movie is slated for a big release, this summer.

'Dookudu' next schedule in Mumbai - JustTollywood.com News



Prince Mahesh Babu is all set to leave to Mumbai for the next schedule of his undershoot film Dookudu,which is taking shape in the hands of Srinu Vaitla.Recently, the film has completed few action sequences shot in Old City,Hyderabad.The Mumbai schedule begins from 26th March and will move on for a week.The unit will picturise Mahesh’s introduction song under Raju Sundaram’s choreography along with some talkie part in this schedule.Mahesh will be seen as a cop in this comedy entertainer and the gorgeous actress Samantha is playing the leading lady.Dookudu is being produced by Anil Sunkara under 14 Reels entertainment banner while Thaman is scoring the music.Dookudu is expected to hit the screens in summer.

From close sources it is known that Daggubati Rana has given a green signal to director Prakash Tholeti’s film and the movie will be produced by Paruchuri Kiriti, who has earlier produced Bala Krishna starrer Simha.The latest buzz is Genelia is being considered for the female lead role in the film.Genelia was not seen in any of tollywood films after her Orange failing at the Box-Office.So, if the buzz is true, this movie would be her comeback after a brief gap.Well, before coming into the conclusions let’s wait for the official announcement from the producer Kiriti. NTR’s upcoming film Shakthi is already setting new records even before its release. Given the hype about the film,it’s natural to deduce that there must be fierce competition for the film’s distribution and other rights. However, this deal for Ceded region is beyond any doubt a jaw-dropper which has caught even the trade pundits by surprise.A source tells us that, there’s an offer for around Rs 10 crores for the distribution rights in Ceded region.That’s not it.There are several offers from individual districts from the same region and if taken into account all these offers, the producers are on the brink of getting a eye-popping deal of around Rs 13 crore!This is a new record for the distribution rights of any film in Telugu cinema history in Ceded region.

Since we love comparing numbers,lets see how the film fares with some of the recent high-profile releases. Balakrishna’s Parama Veera Chakra had got an offer of Rs 11 crores for both Nizam and Ceded territories combined. Back in November, Ram Charan Tej’s Orange was offered Rs 6.5 crores for the same territory and Mahesh Babu’s Mahesh Khaleja got a deal of close to Rs 5 crores. Comparison to all these films, Jr NTR’s Shakthi seems to be miles ahead already. It remains to be seen how the film turns out when it opens in screens on April 30.

Now, reports coming inn suggests that Rekha has opted out of the project.The reason pertaining to her withdrawal from the film is related to monetary issues.Rekha was to be paired opposite older Rajini in the film but a fall out has been created with regards to her remuneration. Rekha was keen on meeting a certain ransom while the producers of the film, Eros and Ocher studious were not keen on meeting the quoted amount resulting in diva stepping out.Ocher studious immediately chose to cast Hema Malini instead of Rekha and right now are in talks with the actress.

On the other hand Vidya Balan who was initially cast as one of the heroine in the film is in consideration of following the foot steps of Rekha but it’s not official till now.Sources say Vidya was keen on reading the full script of the film for which the director of the film K S Ravi Kumar supposedly got irked considering it being a Rajini film.At the same time Rana might not start in April due to casting issues. Srikanth’s new film under the direction of Neelakanta has completed the entire shooting part and stepped into the post-production phases.The unit has launched the logo of the film in Film Nagar Cultural Centre on the eve of hero Srikanth’s birthday. Apart from the cast and crew of the film director Krishnavamsi attended the event as a chief guest. Virodhi is being made with a backdrop of Naxalism and most part of the film was shot in forests near Gangavathi in Karnataka and Vikarabad.Srikanth is playing the role of a journalist in the film and Kamal Kamaraju and Kamalini Mukherji will be seen in other important roles.Srikanth’s brother Anil has produced the film on Meka Entertainments banner and R P Patnaik is scoring the music.

Meanwhile, A R Rahman is in news today for another reason. Apparently, he is quite shocked that one of the tracks which he had composed for Slumdog Millionaire has been used for an ad of mango drink ‘Slice’ featuring Katrina Kaif without his permission.He usually has complete rights over the tunes and music he composes and everytime someone uses his tracks, he gets the royalty associated with the track.Since this track was used without his permission,he has asked his legal advisors to look into the issue.Currently, the legal team is in talks with T-Series, the audio label which has been accused of using the track without Rahman’s permission.

'Shakthi' ready for censor today ! - JustTollywood.com News



The biggest budgeted film of Tollywood Shakthi starring Young Tiger NTR and Sexy Siren Ileana is gearing up for its release in the end of March. The movie is currently in its final leg of its post-production works and the first copy of the film will be sent to Censor Board today by producer Ashwini Dutt for the certification.

Shakthi will be released in both Telugu and Tamil versions simultaneously on the same day. The Tamil version has been titled as Om Shakthi and the audio was launched yesterday.
