Vedam Movie Review (Rating: 7.5/10) - JustTollywood.com News

Rating: 7.5/10
Vedam is the story of five people.

Vivek Chakravarthi (Manoj Manchu), a budding rock star from Bangalore who has to perform at Hyderabad. Saroja (Anushka), a prostitute from Amalapuram, who wants to start her own ‘company' in Hyderabad rather than work for someone else. Ramulu (Balaiah), a textile worker from Lingampally of Sircilla is tortured by a money lender by taking his grand son to work for him to repay his money. He goes to Hyderabad too, to find a solution. Cable Raju (Allu Arjun), a cable operator in Hyderabad, who has trapped a rich girl friend, needs some urgent money to keep her. It shows that how some mass people etch different methods to be rich. Raheemuddin Qureshi (Manoj Bajpai), a muslim in Old City of Hyderabad is tortured by a sorry past and to escape from it he is on his way to fly away to a safer place.
All the above characters meet for a superbly etched climax.

We should pat the director for dealing such a complex way of story telling without any glitch. He proved that he is here to stay. He believed in his story not the commercialism of the stars. Keeravani comes up with a superb composition which elevates each and every character. Prominent actors played guest appearances which lift the movie.

Editor should be commended for a brilliant job. Cinematography is at par. Dialouges by Krish form the soul of the movie. We should pat all the leading stars for coming together to give a message. ( Inspired by the Mumbai Taj's terrorist attack)

Manoj though given a short role performed brilliantly particularly in the scene with his mother and climax.Anushka showed freshness to the role. Balaiah as the old man performed brilliantly though as first timer.Manoj Bajpaye has given new dimension to the role he performed. He asks more from the writer and directors through this movie. Allu Arjun showed how mature he has come with more and more movies that suit his style coming his way.

A Standing applause to Krish and his crew for giving a wonderful film. The producers Yarlagadda and Devineni should be congratulated for such a movie inspite of coming for a commercial background
