Sri Hari returns as hero

After doing roles like those of Sher Khan (Magadheera) and a caring brother in 'Nuvvosthanante Nenoddantana', actor Sri Hari is all set to start his second innings as a hero.  This time, the launch pad film is titled Dasanna.  Meena, the yesteryear actress, plays the female lead.
                         Produced by Natti Kumar and directed by DSP, the film also casts Suman, Posani Krishna Murali and Chandra Mohan in other key roles.  The makers are planning to release the film with over 150 prints, the biggest ever release for a Sri Hari film.
                         Roping in MM Sree Lekha as the musician and K Shankar as the cinematographer, the film also has AVS, Ravindra, Gautam Raju, Krishnaveni, Kalpana and others in its cast.  The audio of the film will be released on the 12th of March.
                         According to the actor, the film has all the essential ingredients of an entertainer.  The producer says that the elements expected of a Sri Hari film are present in the movie.After films like Simhachalam, Bhadradri and Mahanandi, none of which made a mark at the BO, let's see if Sri Hari becomes a success with Dasanna.

'Don Seenu' in Nanak-Rama Guda - JustTollywood.com News

Ravi Teja-starer Don Seenu is currently filming in Nanak-Rama Guda, where the Ramanaidu Cine Village is located. The film is directed by Malineni Gopichand, where Ravi Teja will be seen in a mass kinda role.
Produced by RR Venkat of RR Movie Makers, the film will whiz off to Switzerland after the schedule in Hyderabad that ends on March 20.Sameer Reddy is the cinematographer, while Kona Venkat is penning the dialogue. Mani Sharma is the music director.
Sources confirm that Ravi Teja is doing it on a priority basis. Wonder what made him prioritise this one - the story or his character? No wonder, Ravi Teja, who surprises us with larger-than-life roles like in Kick and slice-of-life roles like the ones in 'Naa Autograph' and 'Anjaneyulu', is playing a don for a change. Expectedly, he will be a don with a comic touch and not a menace to look.
The movie is presented by Achi Reddy and co-produced by V Suresh Reddy.

'Brindaavanam' to work non-stop - JustTollywood.com News

The team of Brindaavanam is going to work non-stop in the coming weeks. The unit is currently shooting in Miyapur, near Hyderabad, in a specially-erected set of a house. A full-fledged love story, a first to happen for its lead star NTR Junior, the film is directed by Vamshi Paidipally of Munna fame. Produced by Dil Raju, the film has Kajal Agarwal and Samantha of Yemaya Chesave fame playing the female leads.
Crucial sequences are being shot in the current schedule at the Miyapur set. The unit will proceed to Karnataka, two days after the schedule ends on February 26. It is learnt that a Kerala schedule is also on the film's itinerary, after the Karnataka schedule.
The film has been shot in continuous schedules, with very brief breaks in-between. The film has raised quite an interest among the fans of the Junior, because the stills and a poster released suggest that it is the first film which will see NTR as a lover boy.
Prakash Raj, Mukesh Rishi, Sri Hari and Ajay are learnt to be playing interesting roles, again. It is not known if it is a triangular love story, but both Kajal and Samantha have a share in the story. The music is by Thaman of Kick fame. Chota K Naidu is the cinematographer. Let's see if Brindavanam adds a new angle to NTR's image

'Maryada Ramanna' kicks off - JustTollywood.com News

Sunil's actual journey as a male lead in a big ticket project has finally gone on the floors. The SS Rajamouli-directed film, Maryada Ramanna, in which the ace comedian is playing the lead, has kicked off in Hyderabad's Gandipet. Equipped with a bound script, Rajamouli has hit the floor.
Though details of who the female lead is going to be have not been divulged yet, the film has Brahmanandam and Nagineedu playing significant roles. The film is set in Rayalaseema, where Sunil could either be hailing from a factionist background himself or otherwise.
Maryada Ramanna has succeeded to raise good amount of curiosity. For this venture, Sunil has shed some pounds and has pinned great hopes on it. Rajamouli's friend SS Kanchi's story is expected to be on surprising lines.
Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is the editor, while music is by, as expected, MM Keeravani. Expected to be a Summer release, the film is jointly produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the banner of Arka Media Works.A specially-erected set at Gandipet is the place where the shooting is proceeding. Comedy is one of the key ingredients of the movie.

After smashing the box office and making incredible strides in many other respects, Magadheera is now coming up on a Blue-Ray disc, a technological breakthrough in itself. Blue-Ray Disc, they say, is an optical disc storage medium designed to supersede the standard DVD format.
Allu Sirish said that though they initially were reluctant to go for it, given the fact that there are only 2500 (appx.) devices in the state which support the technology, the overwhelming demand for it made him re-think of the decision.
"As per popular demand, Magadheera is finally going to release on Blu-Ray. Initially, we decided to give it a miss due to the high cost and low-penetration levels in Andhra Pradesh. As per market sources there are only around 2500 devices in Andhra Pradesh capable of playing Blu-Ray discs (includes Sony PS3). But, the sheer amount of requests on my blog and Twitter made me rethink my strategy for Blu-Ray," he says.
In a press release, he says, " We decided to invest in the technology and see how consumers lap it. Sharing this vision with us was Sri Balaji Videos, the largest home-video label in Andhra Pradesh. Togather, we’re bringing out Magadheera on Blu-Ray. Though a label Bhavani DVD release Nagarjuna’s King on Blu-ray, it was only for the overseas market. This makes Magadheera the first Blu-Ray film to be released in India and with a bonus disc with additional footage. Hope, the audience give this initiative a thumbs-up motivating home-video labels and producers to release more films on this new format. Below is the official press note in this regards. Actress Kalyani Suryakiran, is soon going to play Goddess Saraswathi in a film titled Brahmalokam To Yamalokam. The film is coming with a tag line, 'via bhoolokam.' The film has Sonia of Vinayakudu fame playing the heroine. Kalyani's role is going to be interesting, the makers aver. The film, a socio-fantasy one, is expected to hit the screens soon. Produced on the banner, Lucky Media, Brahmalokam.. is yet another film in the genre of socio-fantasy, which has seen a surge in recent times, though all of them were low-budgeted. After turning a producer with her husband's Chapter-6, Kalyani is all set to start her second innings soon.

Films to watch out for - JustTollywood.com News

Like in a film season, there are coming six releases in the last week of February and first week of March. First, the big releases in the wings are Yemaya Chesave and Maro Charitra, which are hot favourites.
Then, you have Kalavar King, Khiladi (dubbed), Sadhyam and Inkosari releasing in a row. Ye Maya.. "a cute love story," and Maro Charitra, the re-imagined version of the Kamal Hassan film of the same name, are definitely the big ones, though not necessarily in terms of budget. Budget-wise, Yemaya.. comes first.
The Nikhil-starrer is again a youthful flick, though not a complete love story. Comedy and more form part of it. Khiladi is a wily love story, involving Vishal and three girls in a mind-game kinda story.
Inkosari and Sadhyam are about celebration of life and ambition/passion, respectively. The six films, though none of them stars a superstar, are coming with a promise.
Let's hope for the best!
