Nagarjuna's movie for Sankranthi - JustTollywood.com News

For Nagarjuna, who has a hit in King and a flop in Don in the recent past, the movie he is currently doing under the banner Kamakshi Kala Movies is very important. It is also special because the movie, coming from the banner that produced hits like Mutha Mesthri several years ago, the film, titled tentatively as Rummy, is being made with high production values. D Siva prasad Reddy whose silver jubilee year in film is making the Nagarjuna film as the 12th production, is confident of striking gold as his banner did with its first film and several times later.
What are the special attractions? The makers say it is the screenplay that is going to be its USP. Added to it, you have the Yuvasamrat in a never-seen-before role, artistes like Ankur of Slum Dog Millionaire fame, Linda of Ringa Ringa fame (the most-listened song of Arya2) doing important roles in the movie, and of course, Sandeep Chowtha.
Mr. Chowtha's tunes for a Nagarjuna movie are always the best and we can expect the same this time too.Nirmal Pandey, Akhilendra Mishra, Sayaji Shinde and Tanikella Bharani are playing two other roles. A song will be shot in Greece. The film will release on the eve of Sankranthi. Already having completed 80 days of shoot, another 20 days of shoot is remaining.

Namitha's trible bonanza - JustTollywood.com News

Buxom Namitha made a defiant comeback with Prabhas-starrer Billa. Her presence was deemed as an important crowd-puller and her insignificant role got her on the track! Amusing it might seem, but it was Namitha's reinvention. So, it is not surprising that some producers think she has good market in Andhra Pradesh, apart from her Malayalam and Tamil stronghold markets. Iddaru Monagallu, the film she is currently acting in, will thus be a tri-lingual. Directed by Pramod Pappan, the film is based on a real-life incident.
It also stars Kalabhavan Mani, Bala and Julia in important roles. The producer of the film says that they have shot the Telugu version in and around the Hyderabad city.Rajesh Jayaram is these story and dialogue- writer. Vennelakanti has written the lyrics. The makers are hoping to cash on the visibility of Namitha in the Telugu cinema market. Let's wait and see if their expectations turn out to be true.

Kamal for review of Censor rules - JustTollywood.com News

Universal Hero Kamal Haasan is scouting for rewriting of Censor rules. The outrage of many sections of the society, in some cases valid and in other cases puritanical in nature, is debatable and in this context, Kamal argues that Censor rules be re-written.It may be recalled that in 2005, Kamal had said that some of the rules of Censor Board were "rusty." His contention was that the rules were not in accordance with the spirit of the times and that some members of the CB often were political-minded.
Almost 4 years after he launched a tirade against the "archaic" rules at a convention, Kamal has once again raised valid points. He sensationally remarked then saying that many rules were formulated by "our forefathers in the 1940s."He feels that when even the Indian Penal Code sees amends, why can't the censor boards' role be reviewed? In the past, his 'controversial' Hey Ram! saw much censor hassles. He made his disgust known on the occasion and several times after, and he is only repeating what he has already said in the past.
