'Parents' by Shekhar Kammula Associate - JustTollywood.com News



Honest director Shekhar Kammula’s associate Anand Ravi has launched his own movie titled ‘Parents’ in Hyderabad recently. Anand who has worked with Shekhar Kammula in almost all his movies, is excited about his debut venture as it is being produced by his friends under Take One Productions. The movie will have Vamsi Krishna of ‘Happy Days’ fame as hero and Ruchika from New Delhi as heroine.

Speaking on the launch of the movie, debutant director Anand Ravi was excited and said that his dream was finally coming true. Informing further information about his movie, Anand said that his movie is a love story that will be made in an honest manner like how Shekhar Kammula makes. Giving a gist about the movie, the director said that the hero of the movie will be in search of his parents, if they really exist and this will be maintained as suspense. The shooting of the movie would commence on August 5th and would complete by September. The director said that his team was planning to release the movie in November.

Hero Vamsi Krishna claimed that he was in search of a good subject after ‘Happy Days’. Whenever a director approached with subjects, he admitted saying that producers were not interested and when producers were ready good stories hadn’t come his way! Yet he was happy that the audiences still remember him.

Heroine Ruchika expressed her happiness in being part of the film and thanked the producers and director for giving her an opportunity. Shekhar Kammula wished the entire team of ‘Parents’ good luck and told that the story of ‘Parents’, is ‘feel good’ and the movie would be a blockbuster. While other members of the cast will be informed later, the technicians part of the movie are Shyam Dutt handling the camera, music by SK Balachandran and lyrics by Vanamali.

Manisha to become director - JustTollywood.com News



Manisha is back to work post marriage. And this time as a filmmaker too. The actress, who has undertaken lessons of film making in New York, is now getting ready to plunge into direction, say sources in the know. “Plans are on to direct a movie. But I don’t know when I will start directing it. My priority however will be acting at this point of time. That’s why I am giving a lot of thought before I sign films,” she says.

Her last movie before marriage was Partho Ghosh’s ‘Ek Second Jo Zindagi Badal De’. Post marriage, the first venture she signed is ‘Jai Bhim’, in which she will be essaying the role of a politician (Dalit leader to be precise). ‘Jai Bhim’ will be entirely shot in Dehradun, it is said. Other than that, the actress is currently playing the all-powerful mother-in-law role in Dhanush starrer ‘Maappillai’, which is a remake of a yesteryear Rajinikanth blockbuster of the same title.
