James Cameron's Avatar, releasing worldwide on the 18th of December, will be premiered at the INOX today at 09:00 pm. The premiere show will be attended by celebrities and personalities from the Telugu film industry.
Avatar is the most talked about film in the world. It is touted as better than Titanic, released 12 years ago and directed by James again. It is a science-fiction film, that has an Indian connection. The Hindu mythological idea of incarnation has been reportedly referred to in the film. Thus the name of Lord Rama associated with the Hollywood blockbuster.
For the members of the battered industry of Tollywood, which is facing difficulties because of the ongoing T-agitation, watching Avatar will be a great relaxation! What say?

Ravikumar teams up with Kamal - JustTollywood.com News

Yet again, KS Ravikumar is teaming up with the Universal Hero Kamal Haasan for a film. In the past, the director worked with the actor for films like 'Panchatantram' and 'Dasavatharam'. While the former was a decent hit, the latter did not too well as was expected.
The new film will be produced by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi's grandson Stalin and will go on the floors in the month of January. When is it releasing? If everything goes well as planned, the film will hit the marquee in June.
It is because, Ravi Kumar is known for his ability to complete a film in a short span of time. The famous director, who worked with Rajinikanth for Padayappa (Narasimha), is known for making comedy films as well.His films with Kamal Haasan are hugely awaited by the audience. However, Dasavatharam, which was made on a mammoth budget (Rs. 48 cr.) did not live up to the expectations.

'Varudu' in Ramoji Film City - JustTollywood.com News

Allu Arjun's film with Guna Sekhar, titled Varudu, is currently in the world-famous Ramoji Film City. The film was shot in the beautiful locales of Allapuzza of Kerala recently, and is just back for its Hyderabad schedule. The schedule in the film city will see the shooting of two songs.The director announced that Singitham Srinivasa Rao, the veteran film director, is playing an interesting role in the film. Varudu is scheduled for a March 2010 release.
Also starring are Suhasini and Naresh in important roles. Mani Sharma, who scored the music for all Guna Sekhar's previous films, like Choodalani Undi, Okkadu, Sainikudu and Arjun, is composing the music for this one too.Tamil actor Arya is playing a negative role here. The film is said to help Arjun reinvent himself as a mass hero. As his last film Arya2, which is currently showing in theaters, is a class flick, it is said that Varudu is going to be more important for him, since it targets the rural audience too.

Chiranjeevi resigns from MLA post - JustTollywood.com News

Chiranjeevi's biggest show in his career would be the post of MLA he has held for more than 200 days. The actor- turned- politician, who launched his own political party after bidding adieu to films, became the Member of Legislative Assembly for the Tirupathi constituency after winning with a slight margin, in the month of May.
Claiming to work for the cause of Samaikhya Andhra, the PRP legislator resigned from his post today. Hoping to ride on the anti-Telangana sentiment in Andhra and Rayalseema region, the head of the demoralised party called it quits, at last. He dramatically brandished the resignation letter in front of the media. Following his sensational resignation, Telangana protesters assembled at the Jubilee Hills bhavan of PRP and shouted slogans against the leader.
The party was routed out in the recently held GHMC polls, winning just a seat. Its debut performance at the hustings was no good, with the party winning just two seats in the region in the Assembly elections held earlier in the year.

Mohan Babu's takes Samaikhya Andhra stand - JustTollywood.com News

Tollywood's most pugnacious actor Mohan Babu likes to be in the midst of controversies. If something is of political nature, his curiosity knows no boundaries. Though not a politician himself, the ex-Member of Parliament has decided to fight for Samaikhya Andhra (the phrase used for undivided Andhra).
His fight will see him undergo a deeksha in the holy town of Tirupathi, from today. He is also planning to go on a relay fasting for United Andhra. It may be noted that unlike other opportunists, this veteran at least did not ever say he was for Telangana and later backtrack on it.His United Andhra stand has not surprised many; only his rallying behind the cause has. He is even bringing some of his family members in to the movement. Reportedly, his son Vishnu Babu will participate in the agitation.
Needless to say, if you are living in Telangana, you should forget about Saleem, if you haven't already even after the worst ratings it is receiving universally. About Manchu Manoj's Bindaas, time will tell us. The screening of the movies associated with the kin of Mohan Babu will not be screened in the region.
