Jr.NTR’s latest film, ‘Sakthi’ unit will be leaving to Egypt for the next schedule of its film shoot in the month of March. The shoot will take place for 10 days. The movie has earlier completed few crucial scenes at Rajasthan, Jaipur.

Teja takes recourse to High Court - JustTollywood.com News

Director Teja, who faces the threat of being arrested by the police, following a complaint made by producer Chadalawada Srinivasa Rao, appealed to the High Court to issue directives to the police to squash the cases filed by the latter.

A few days ago, Chadalawada complained to the police that Teja has occupied his house. The Jubilee Hills police reportedly registered a case following the complaint. However, Teja has approached the High Court, saying that he and his family have nothing to do with whatever dispute that is there between Chadalawada and his father-in-law Padmanabha Reddy.

He asked the Court to issue directives to the police to not arrest him on the basis of the complaint. Teja said that he and his family were worried about the health condition of their son, who was not keeping well. The crest-fallen director pleaded with the court that the police be ordered to stop further investigation

Veterans given national and state awards

Telugu cine veterans, including actress Jamuna and others, have been awarded with some prestigious national and state recognitions.  Jamuna has been awarded with the NTR National Award, while the BN Reddy National Award has been given away to KB Tilak, who has made many enlightening films on social issues.

                         The Nagireddy-Chakrapani National Award has been announced A Ramesh Prasad, the president of the Producers' Council.  Yesteryear actress and director Vijaya Nirmala, the woman film-maker who has directed the maximum number of films, has been awarded the Raghupathi Venkayya Award.

                          The committee that decided on the awards comprised of KC Shekar Babu, Giri Babu, N Shankar and others.  They presented the list of awarders to the Chief Minister on Thursday.The recipients will be given away the awards at an event to be held at Lalitha Kala Thoranam on the 16th.The awards were given away in recognition of the services rendered by these personalities in various ways.

Radha Mohan denies rumors on 'Payanam' - JustTollywood.com News

Nagarjuna starrer ‘Payanam’ is a bilingual film in Telugu and Tamil. The movie is being directed by Radha Mohan and is being produced by ‘Dil’ Raju in Telugu version. Recently, there are rumours spread that the movie is being made based on the Kandahar flight hijack incident. However, Radha Mohan has denied these rumors and reacted to them.

Radha Mohan says, “Though the film is a thriller, it is not a take-off of the Kandahar episode. Nagarjuna is playing a police officer while Prakash Raj a government official. A new face would be zeroed in on as the heroine. We wanted Nagarjuna to play the protagonist since he is popular in both Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.”

He further added, “The thriller will also have a human angle to the happenings in the film. Action scenes in ‘Payanam’ would never defy logic. We have started and our next schedule is in Hyderabad from March 15.”

The Walt Disney Company India on Thursday announced a Telugu movie with Siddharth and Shruthi Haasan in lead roles.In a statement, Mahesh Samat, managing director of The Walt Disney Company India, said, “As we work to build a family entertainment brand in India, we plan to provide Indian audiences with an unparalleled roster of locally relevant stories and engaging characters and will continue to tap into the local creative ecosystem to develop content which resonates with Indian kids and families."

Slated to release in January 2011, the yet-to-be titled epic fantasy adventure directed by National Award winning Prakash Rao Kovelamudi and produced by K Raghavendra Rao is Walt Disney India's first locally developed studio project aimed specifically at southern audiences.

The film, set in the fictitious teardrop shaped land of Sangarashtra, will also be dubbed into Tamil, sources say. The story is about the journey of a nine-year-old girl and her quest to save Sangarashtra from an evil queen, played by Lakshmi Manchu.
