Merupu's added attraction proves it a sure hit - JustTollywood.com News



After playing in ‘MagadheeraRam Charan had become a huge star overnight. The film proved the real stamina of the Telugu film industry and it bagged even a national honour for the technical brilliance of the film.Ram Charan gave a varied performance with two different shades of characters as a knight of a kingdom as well as a lover boy. After this film, he sought to have a image makeover and played a pure lover boy role in ‘Orange’. Though the film earned a divided talk in the beginning, Ram Charan earned good marks as a lover boy.

Once again, he is trying to regain his mass image and is doing a film in the direction of Dharani for ‘Merupu’ wherein he is playing the role of a football player.The added attraction of the film is that the director is seriously considering two names — Nana Patekar and Action King Arjun to rope in as the coach to Ram Charan. If anyone of them agrees to play the coach role, the film would have nothing left but to gain a big success and it would once again ring the bells at Box Office without any doubt.Let us wait and watch who would play the coach to Ram Charan in ‘Merupu’.

Balakrishna is a senior artiste of the Telugu film industry and he had so far acted in many films. He is reportedly watching the films of the late NT Rama Rao, who also happens to be his father, wherein the thespian played the role of Lord Rama. He is keenly watching the mannerisms, walking style, dialogue modulation and other such aspects of his father to avoid criticism that the son of a great actor failed to make an impression in the minds of audiences.Balakrishna reportedly decided to live in the character and busy spending at least six hours a day watching these movies. He even carries the CDs and DVDs along with him wherever he goes and doesn’t want to waste time sitting idle.Hope the legendary actor would give him all his energy to his son and make ‘Sri Ramarajyam’ a memorable film in the history of the Telugu film industry.

The Allari Naresh-Poorna starrer directed by G Nageswara Reddy and produced by Malla Vijayaprasad on the banner of Wellfare Creations is presently shooting in Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.Director Nageswara Reddy says, ‘This is my second film with Allari Naresh, while the first one being ‘Seema Sastry’.

This film is also an out and out comedy entertainer and it would be a real laughing riot. The film showcases the adventures of Allari Naresh while making efforts to win the love of his girlfriend. Vandemataram Srinivas is scoring tunes for the film and he is trying to make a mark with his music in this film.’

RajaMouli's Eega Launched to day - JustTollywood.com News



As informed earlier, Rajamouli’s next film ‘Eega’ was launched grandly today at Ramanaidu Studios amidst of several bigwigs of T-town. The first shot of the movie was filmed on Nani, Samantha, and Sudeep together. Director, V.V.Vinayak has clapped the board for the first shot of the film and director K.Raghavender Rao switched on the camera.Eega casts Nani as protagonist and Sudeep as antagonist.

The film will be packed with extra-ordinary visual effects as per Rajamouli. Eega is being produced by Sai Korrapati under the banner Suresh Productions. The film has music by Keeravani, cinematography by Jamie, editing by Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao and visual effects director Kamal Kannan is also roped in for the film.

Anushka,Rama Rajamouli summoned to court - JustTollywood.com News


The Bhimili junior civil judge on Monday issued summons to actor Anushka and three others in connection with a land dispute on the outskirts of Visakhapatnam. The summons was issued in a civil suit concerning four plots measuring 300 square yards each in Vasavinagar near Madhurawada.As per the documentary proof, two plots were originally purchased by Mr Linga Murthy in 1982.

However, fake documents were allegedly prepared showing that the plots were sold in 1998 by Mr Linga Murthy who had settled abroad.According to sources, these plots were allegedly sold to others. In another similar case, concerning a neighbouring plot, fake documents were allegedly created to prove that the site owned by Mr T. Kameswar Rao was sold to Mrs R. Valurapalli Rama Rajamouli, wife of film director Mr S.S. Rajamouli in 2004.However, Mr Kameswar Rao died in 2002 and could not have sold the plot.

Another adjoining plot belonging to Mr T.S.K. Sidhanthi was registered in the name of Preity Shetty alias Anushka Shetty with alleged fake documents on October 17, 2006.Anushka Shetty, Rama Rajamouli, Mr N. Bulli Reddy and Vijaylakshmi have been issued summons by the Bhimili Civil Court to appear before the court on January 28 next year.

Saroja Devi bags NTR National Film Award - JustTollywood.com News



The NTR National Film Award for the year 2009, instituted by the government of Andhra Pradesh goes to veteran actor B. Saroja Devi. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh, a memento and a citation. Born in Karnataka, B Saroja Devi went on to act in over 170 Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films.She starred alongside the late N.T. Rama Rao for the first time in Panduranga Mahatyam, under the direction of K. Komeswara Rao.

The popular star made her debut in the Kannada film Mahakavi Kalidasa in 1955 and won the National award for her role in the Kannada film Kitturani Chennamma.Noted producer K. Raghava, director K. Raghavendra Rao and Ch Ramoji Rao of Ramoji Film City have been selected for the Raghupathi Venkaiah Film Award, B.N. Reddy National Film Award and the Nagireddy Chakrapani National Film Award respectively.

A four-member committee headed by Mr G. Adiseshagiri Rao and comprising Mr K.C. Sekhar Babu, Mr Giribabu and the director, Mr N. Shankar, selected the winners.Mr Adiseshagiri Rao and Andhra Pradesh State Film Television and Theatre Development corporation MD, Mr Parthasarathi, along with other members, submitted the list of awardees to the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Monday afternoon.

'Shakti' filmed at highest number of places! - JustTollywood.com News



Jr.NTR’s undershoot film ‘Shakti’ seems to be creating record to be shot at highest number of places in Telugu cinema. The film was shot in places like Ladakh, Jaipur, Haridwar, Kullu Manali , Hampi, Badami, Egypt and of course in and around Hyderabad. The film has wrapped up its schedule at Hampi and Badami yesterday and is gearing up for its final schedule at Annapoorna Studios.

Ileana is playing the NTR’s lady love in the film.Shakti is directed by Meher Ramesh of ‘Kantri’ and ‘Billa’ fame and produced by Ashwini Dutt under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner. Ashwini dutt reported that he has not produced any Telugu movie in the past 35 years as lavishly as NTR’s ‘Shakti’. The producer opined that ‘Shakti’ will become a milestone for the whole team.
