Sambho Siva Sambho for Sankranthi - JustTollywood.com News

Here is another film to watch out for in the festive season of Pongal. After Kedi, Namo Venkatesha, Vedam, Gudugudu Gunjam and other small ticket releases have been announced, Ravi Teja-starrer Sambho Shiva Sambho has been said to be releasing too.It is known that the film is a remake of Tamil super hit Nandodigal. Allari Naresh and Priyamani are the other important cast. Given that the Tamil original had Naresh's role forming a major aspect of the story, it can be understood that this is a Ravi Teja- Allari Naresh film.
For Priyamani, after Pravarakhyudu, this one will be a feather in her cap. Bellamkonda Suresh is producing the film. He was curious to bag the remake rights of the sensitive Nandodigal, which had cash registers ringing in Tamil Nadu. Siva Balaji is doing a cameo in the film. The film's overseas rights have reportedly been sold for a whopping Rs. 70 lacs.Sambho Shiva Sambho is certainly much-awaited.

'Puli' and 'Varudu' in Geetha Arts kitty - JustTollywood.com News

That Geetha Arts is slowly, but steadily, turning out to be a giant production house in Tollywood, is indisputable. The Allu Aravind company is, perhaps, the only banner that has been making news for its many projects. Ever since Aamir Khan's Ghajini set the box office on fire by collecting Rs. 200 cr. in its first two weeks, Geetha Arts has almost become the next big thing.
The banner's new advances in selling, advertising and marketing of films are things to be written about. If it recently announced a plan to produce the Hindi avatar of Magadheera at an estimated cost of Rs. 75 cr, it is in news again for reportedly buying two of the most-awaited films for the year 2010 for, well, Rs. 65 cr.!
Pawan Kalyan's Puli, produced by Singanamala Ramesh, has been bought by Geetha Arts. So also Varudu, a DVV Danayya production. The films are being made at extravagant costs and they are expected to release with scorching openings.Puli, the craziest film, has Pawan playing dual role (rumoured), while Varudu stars Allu Arjun, who is on a high ever since Arya2's release.

Kammula's find Priya Anand finds luck - JustTollywood.com News

Director Shekar Kammula is someone who can make 'no one' a 'some one.' The ladies who act as female leads in his films are bound to be flooded with offers. Kamalinee Mukherjee achieved instant fame after her debut in Anand. She repeated the magic with another of Kammula's movie Godavari. Though she became choosy later, she was critically-acclaimed.
Ditto with Tamanna , who went to become a star heroine in both Telugu and Tamil languages. If in Tamil, she got to act with top heroes there, in Telugu, she bagged films like 'Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kastham'.
Kammula's forthcoming film Leader has Priya Anand, a Mumbai girl, debuting as heroine. Surprisingly, the girl has in her kitty another big ticket film, though she has not yet been accepted by the audience. Even before her first film released, how could she land in a big one? Industry observers are of the view that it is because of the Kammula factor in her career. Dil Raju, who is producing Ram's next Rama Rama Krishna Krishna, signed on Priya Anand, probably fully convinced that she would be a decent performer.

'Saleem' postponed indefinitely - JustTollywood.com News

Sri Lakshmi Prassanna's Saleem, starring Vishnu and Ileana, is learnt to be postponed. The film was slated for a December 11 release on Friday. The film's release has not been sure since the last three days as the producers feared that the nearly 600 theaters in Telangana will be closed owing to the agitation for separate State hood. Now that the fears got allayed after a semblance of normalcy returned to bandh-battered region, the Telugu industry sighed a heave of relief last night. Seems that their problems are far from over.
Despite, or because of the declaration of the Union Home Minister, many districts of Coastal Andhra and Rayalseema swung into agitation mode following the UPA's nod to Telangana. With the people huddled around the television sets to watch the political developments in the State, as unravelled by 24/7 news, there is a growing impression among the producers of some of the films slated this week that films will be on the last priority of the people! Thus, Saleem, the mega project, will not release on Friday. The final date will be announced by the makers later.
