Walt Disney's first south Indian film - JustTollywood.com News



South Indian Cinema Walt Disney Company is joining hands with ace tollywood director Raghavendra Rao and producing a socio fantasy movie for the first time under Prakash Kovelamudi’s direction. The movie will be released in January 2011.The movie stars Siddharth and Kamal Hassan’s daughter Shruti Hassan in the lead roles. Dr Mohan Babu’s daughter Lakshmi Manchu is playing a prominent role. Other important cast and crew of the film are Baby Shriya Sharma, Dr Brahmanandam, Ravi Babu, Ali, etc.

Managing Director of Walt Disney Company said, “We are happy to work with highly talented team and in a high budget movie. We are striving to provide a proper package in the form of stories and movies suiting the large Indian community and their tastes. India happens to be the next country after USA where Disney has invested heavily and the trend is expected to continue.”

The story is all about a kingdom ‘Angarajyam’ and its people and their approach. Sources say “A witch (Manchu Lakshmi) tries to sabotage the kingdom “Angarajyam” and in the process a nine year old (Baby Shriya Sharma) becomes important and the hero (Siddharth) puts all his efforts to save the child from the ill effects of the witch. Shruti Hassan plays the role of a gypsy girl who falls in love with hero.”
