Today is a big day in Shriya’s life. The much-awaited Mallanna that stars Vikram and her in the lead, is hitting the screens today. “I worked very hard for the film,” she says. According to sources, while her co-star Vikram is busy promoting the film abroad, Shriya is spending some quiet moments in a hill station. “Yeah. I’m now at the ashram in Coimbatore. I’m continuing my meditation and yoga programme. It’s really helping me beat the stress,” she says.
But, she adds that she’ll somehow make it up to her fans. “It’s really unfortunate that I am missing the fun part. In fact, I haven’t even seen the complete movie till now. Like the audience, I’m eagerly waiting to watch the film.” Shriya will be catching a flight to Toronto on September 10. Why? To walk the red carpet for her new film Cooking with Stella with Deepa Mehta. “The event is on September 16. But, as of now, I’m planning to leave India on September 10,” she says with a smile.
