Telugu film director Vankineni Ratna Pratap (VR Pratap) passed away on Monday evening. Pratap had been diagnosed with chronic leukemia and breathed his last after fighting with the fatal disease for many years.VR Pratap made his directorial debut with Nuvvu Vasthavani movie which was a huge hit. He has the credit of introducing Jr. NTR as the hero. NTR did Ninnu Chudalani movie under Pratap’s direction. Pratap also directed a film titled Naalo Unna Prema with Jagapathi Babu, Laya and Gajala as the leads. His last film was Gorintaku starring Rajasekhar and Meera Jasmine which was a good hit. After that Pratap didn’t do any films due to illness.
