Surender Reddy’s talent was rightly spotted by young NTR when the latter was immensely impressed with the former work in the film Atanokkade. Surender then made Ashok with NTR in the lead. However, Surender failed to deliver the goods and live up to NTR’s expectations with that film. Ashok was a miserable flop and Surender has been regarded as the culprit for that failure.Later Surender made Athidhi with Mahesh and that too despite the huge hype surrounding it ended as a damp squib at the box office. It was with Raviteja’s Kick that Surender managed to pull out another hit.
After Kick, Surender planned to make a film with Ram, but unfortunately that film was called off. At this juncture, NTR has given him a chance to direct him again and that is how Oosaravelli took shape. Surender, who is very grateful to NTR, is doing his best to give him a memorable hit with this film. Let’s hope Surender does his best this time around.
