Veteran actor Nutana Prasad passed away - JustTollywood.com News
One of the finest actors in Telugu film industry with a cult figure status, Nutana Prasad died on Wednesday in Hyderabad due to illness.Even as he was being shifted to Apollo Hospitals in the city,he died on the way.Nutana Prasad is counted as one of the best performers in Telugu cinema who is known for his popular voice and dialogue modulation. Prasad who was a government employee in Hyderabad left his job to pursue acting.Popularly referred as 'Nutokka Jillala Andhagadu', Nutana Prasad has lived in hundreds of charecters that will remain unforgettable in the minds of Telugu audience.'Andalaramudu' was his first film. Aha Naa Pellanta, Mutyala Muggu, Kaidhi, Srivariki Premalekha, Katha Nayakudu et al are a few of his best movies.
His speciality was comedy villainism.He made the negative lead entertaining.He won Nandi award for his excellent action in 'Sundari Subbarao' in the year 1984.He suffered a major blow in the form of an accident in the year 1989 while shooting for 'Bhamma Mata Bangaru Bhattaa' and lost his limbs.He has later on spent an inactive life in cinema.He has been playing small time roles in films.He lent his voice for programms like 'Neralu Ghoralu' in ETV which became an instant sensation too.He was conferred the NTR award in the year 2005 for his endearing action.His dialogue 'Desam Klishta Paristitilo Undhi' is eternal.He served as incharge of Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad and was active supporter of Telugu Desam party.
The intensity with which he acted and his spontaintity is still remembered by the actors of his times.Tollywood personalities expressed shock on his demise.Prasad is certainly the pride of Telugu cinema who brought respect to villain roles.His action, expressions, dialogue modulation, versatality and discipline in life are reference worthy.His school of cinema is worth emulation and he defined the term legend.He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.
