NTR's Shakthi is in its last stage of post-production.As the film approaches its date of release,we have learnt from reliable sources that the film’s distribution rights are being sold at never before heard of prices in few areas.Buzz is that the film’s overseas rights have been sold for around Rs 2.15 crores.Ficus Entertainments has picked up the rights. What’s interesting is that it’s one of the highest prices quoted for a big budget film in recent times.2010 was nothing short of a disastrous year for Telugu films which were screened in USA.
Except for handful of films which made decent profits, most of the films couldn’t even recover print costs and left most distributors in US with heavy losses. With so much money riding high on Shakthi and its distribution rights,it would be interesting to see how the film fares at box-office.Directed by Meher Ramesh, the film has been produced by Ashwini Dutt. The film will be simultaneously released in Telugu and Tamil on March 30 and recently the Tamil version’s audio was launched by Meher Ramesh and Ashwini Dutt.
