Many records of the Tollywood were broken into pieces by ‘Magadheera’, the blockbuster of the decade,directed by SS Rajamouli and produced by Allu Aravind on the banner of Geetha Arts with Ram Charan as hero.The film showcased the potential of the Telugu film industry to the entire world. The film proved that such films would live upto the expectations even if one or two films produced every year.The latest among them is ‘Shakthi’ directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by Ashwini Dutt on the banner of Vyjayanti Movies with NTR and Ileana in the lead.
The director prepared a versatile subject with a universal appeal. But,one had to wait and watch whether Meher Ramesh could weave the same kind of magic on the lines of Rajamouli or not.When it comes to comparisons,the film, which was shot in a highest number of locations and with a massive budget than any other Telugu film so far,should surpass the records set by ‘Magadheera’. The audio of ‘Magadheera’ to was a big hit, but Manisharma’s tunes for ‘Shakthi’ were not that effective.Let us see whether the director could prove the film a visual grandeur or not?
