With it becoming clear that Mahesh Babu will not do '3 Idiots' remake in Telugu as it is clashing with his dates for 'Dookudu', Shankar, the director has supposedly decided to go with Surya as the lead hero for both Tamil and Telugu versions of the movie. Sources say Tamil star Vijay is also not doing the movie in Tamil as was declared earlier.Since Surya is well known face in both AP and Tamilnadu, Shankar thinks it is double whammy and easy to finish the project if worked with Surya who is as talented as Aamir Khan is. Though there is no official communication on this from the makers yet, it is likely that Surya is the main lead for the movie.
