While observing that the films directed by several successful directors are turning flops now, Nata Kireeti, Dr Rajendra Prasad, says, ‘Take a keen look on the films in my combination with directors like Vamsi, SV Krishna Reddy, Bapu and others. Also look at the other members of the technical team. It was a great combination then and such a team of technicians and artistes is missing these days. That is why the magic is vanishing in thin air. A film is nothing but a team work and when the team spirit is lacking, automatically the success will also elude.'
He predicted that history would repeat once again with the sequel of ‘Ladies Tailor’ which was planned as ‘Fashion Designer’ with a tagline ‘Son of Ladies Tailor’. In this sequel, Rajendra Prasad is playing the father of the fashion designer and search is on for the hero to play the lead role. Of course, Allari Naresh is being considered for the lead role.
While talking about his role in ‘Ayyare’, he says, ‘I am playing the role of an ATM guard. Though I guard money worth crores, I struggle for Rs 10 lakh for the surgery of my daughter, who has a hole in heart. So, I turn a Swamiji to swindle money to save my daughter. Incidentally, my role is quite similar to Nityananda Swamy but it is not a parody to him in real life.’
