Looking at the history of Tollywood, if there is one man who has made it the closest possible to the legacy of the great N T Rama Rao, then it is megastar Chiranjeevi. It is a known fact that many mega fans always wanted to see their idol become as great as NTR but then here is the catch.NTR has acted, directed (DVS Karna, Veera Brahmendra Swamy Charitra etc) and involved in many other departments of film making churning out some unforgettable hits.
Chiru has never done that, for now the hype that Chiru is likely to direct his 150th film is a useful tool for marketing but to match with NTR standards he has to direct and score a hit.For now, Chiru can be rated as famous enough in his own way but when it comes to the track record, NTR is standing miles ahead of him. However, Chiru is now back to the cine circuit so he has enough opportunities to fill that gap. Perhaps directing a film would be a good starter for him to get into the NTR league.
