Veteran actress Jamuna will be receiving ‘Savitri Memorial Award’ for her contribution of work towards Telugu cinema industry. Director Dasari Narayana Rao had announced the news yesterday on the occasion of his 63th birthday. He announced that the award will be consisting of Rs 2 lakh cheque.
Jamuna has shared the screen space with many great actors and actresses such as NTR, Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, Savitri, Vanisri etc. Her roles in films such as ‘Missamma’, Maya Bazaar’, ‘Mooga Manasulu’, ‘Illarikam’, ‘Gundamma Katha’ were even remembered today. The actress is no doubt, one of the great actresses of Telugu films.
