Mani Ratnam’s latest magnum opus ‘Villain’ is all set for its release on June 18th. This trilingual film has two sets of actors, in Tamil and Hindi versions. The Tamil version of ‘Raavanan’ will be dubbed into Telugu and is titled as Villain. Prithviraj Sukumaran, Aishwarya and Vikram will play the key roles in Telugu but other cast may change in the versions.
The film is a modern version of Ramayana which showcases the episode of Ravanan kidnapping Sita and thereby Rama goes in search of Sita. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is playing the role of Sita in all the versions while Vikram plays Raavan in Tamil and Telugu versions and Ram in Hindi version while Abhishek will be seen as Raavan in Hindi version and as Ram in Tamil and Telugu versions.
Mani Ratnam is producing the movie under his banner, ‘Madras Talkies’. The film also has A.R.Rahman’s music, Santosh Sivan and Manikandan’s cinematography and Sreekar Prasad’s editing.
