"I wanted to do distinct roles": Rana - JustTollywood.com News

Daggubati Rana who has proved his mettle with his debut film, Leader, which was directed by Sekhar Kammula spoke to media yesterday and shared his opinion on the response of his movie.

Rana said, “I’m very happy to note that my first ever film had so much impact on the audience. Nobody saw RaNa in ‘Leader’. They could only see Arjun Prasad, therefore are talking only about that character. Not only the general public but also great celebrities from film industry, politicians, public servants and many others were impressed by the film and appreciated our experiment. Sekhar Kammula did not take this film as a director alone but also took it as a responsible citizen of India. That is why ‘Leader’ is getting so much of positive responses.”

“My bollywood debut flick, ‘Dum Maro Dum’ would certainly give me a good image. I just wanted to do variety of roles without having any particular image. Therefore, every film that I do will be completely different from the other. I would also like to do a mass film provided I get a good subject,” added Rana
