Director Karunakaran has tried to rework his tholiprema magic. But due to lack of crispiness in the screenplay he falls short. The opening scenes of friends uniting for a get together after a long gap from their education days is good. It is where Prabhas and Nandini (Kajal Agarwal) meet for the first time. Parents part saying that they are going to settle in various locations and would meet after a long gap. They meet and how they enjoy amidst various twists is the story. It is also tells us how Prabhas and Nandini unite.
The first half of the movie looked like an ordinary television serial with patch work. The movie starts to get interesting just before the interval. Second half is good. The comedy track between half ticket, Prabhas and his troupe is good.Two songs are good. The slow song with graphics is superb. A neat idea. ( hope if we care for nature we will live in Hyderabad similar to that. Fight sequence in the second half is good. The climax except for the qualis scene is done well.
Music and back ground score is just ok. Editing should have been better. Prabhu and his wife Rajyalakshmi are good. The friendship thread should have been done better.Chandramohan, Ahuti Prasad, MS are ok. Kota has a brief role. Mukesh Rishi and Shradda Das as father and daughter are ok but shradda's role is not convincing. Prabhas gave a subtle performance. His costumes in some scenes weere like night dresses. His introduction is bad. Kajal has repeated her role.Production values are decent. The house set is good. A good work on the screenplay and treatment would have made the movie a winner. Go watch it because there are no good one's available.
