This could be a sensational news to all those looking out for an opinion from India's foremost filmmaker, on everything from crazy reviewers of his films to terrorism, Mumbai life, and now, Avatar. Ram Gopal Varma is for United Andhra and has thundered Jai Samaikhyandhra. Another juicy news is that, he is making the Congress MP Lagadapati Rajgopal into a Visionary.
Reminiscing his encounter with the students leader and gutsy Rajgopal during his 4-year stint at the famous Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada, the opinionated director, who hails from the state gushed about the "sincere leader" Rajgopal, whose capability and earnestness have made him support Samaikhyandra though RGV himself doesn't have a head to decide what separation, statehood et all are all about. "...if Rajgopal believes that samaikhyandhra is good for Andhra Pradesh then I also believe in it," is what Ram is saying.
The filmmaker had admired Rajgopal from a distance during his stay at the college, when the now rich businessman-cum-legislator used to be an excellent student, students leader, occasionally displayed ramrod valour when it came to facing the Chinna group. Controversially, RGV jumps on the couch by comparing all of the 'legendary' Rajgopal's rivals with the rowdy Chinna gang! How about making a film on the saga, RGV? Two or three parts will do.
