Sizzling dance queen Mumaith Khan is on a high. For, the actress is now the heroine of Punnami Nagu, a film being directed by Kannan of Yaar fame. Chennai Times caught up with her for a short chat… On your role in Punnami Nagu… I play a double role for the first time. It’s a fantasy film and I play the heroine and also the role of a nagakanni. Karunaas and Aditya, who rose to fame with his performance in Billa, are the heroes.
Punnami Nagu is special for me as, apart from acting and dancing, I’m also doing some action scenes. Playing dual roles isn’t easy and I’m doing my best to excel in both roles. I’ve acted as a heroine in Telugu. But in Kollywood, this is my first heroine role and I’m excited about it. I hope the film turns out to be a super entertainer. You’ve done dance numbers with Kollywood heartthrobs. How was the experience? I dance well and I like dancing. I’ve done a cameo in Malaiyoor Mammatiyan and have done numbers in Ajith, Vikram and Vijay’s films. It was awesome to dance with Vijay. Though I’ve been featured in many films, I’m still in a learning phase.
