Arya2 hitting the marquee in second week of November - JustTollywood.com News

Following the idiom of Arya, Arya2 has been made entertainingly by Sukumar. Produced under the banner of Adithya Arts, the film stars Allu Arjun and Kajal Agarwal, and Navdeep and Shraddha Das (of Diary fame) also playing intersting roles.
It is not a sequel to Arya but has the character of Arya retaining the peculiarity. If earlier he asked the girl to just feel his love, in this one he believes that even if someone is hating us, there is an intense feel underneath it.Devi Sri Prasad is the musician and the film is produced by Adithya Babu.

Ravi Babu's 'Amaravathi' to hit theatres in November - JustTollywood.com News

Ravi Babu of Anasuya and Nacchavule fame has clandestinely made Amaravathi, with Bhumika, Sneha and Tarakaratna in the main roles. Interestingly, he has not let a single still from the film leak to the media. Probably, he wants to add a dash of mystery to his film so it will seem more curious to the audience.
With a hero like Tarakaratna playing a character with negative shades, and two famous actresses, Bhumika and Sneha to be seen together, there are great expectations among fans of Bhumika and Ravi Babu. The trailers of the film are releasing in the theatres showing popular films like Ek Niranjan. Seems that the producers will want to their film to have immense publicity once it releases.

Intersting role for Genelia D'souza - JustTollywood.com News

Genelia's Bommarillu performance is still fresh in mind. The actress has always yearned for meaningful roles since, and she had approached directors like Neelankanta. However, she has got dumb lucky again, we could believe. She is playing a school teacher in her next film Katha, produced by Just Yellow of Gunnam Gangaraju.
A thriller-cum-love story, it seems that Genelia is playing a performance-oriented role in the film. Woman-significant that Katha is, it is to be seen if she is going to give a hands-up performance like Charmi, who in Just Yellow's earlier production 'Anukokunda Oka Roju', did.

Gamyam, Vinayakudu and Parugu get Nandi recognition - JustTollywood.com News

The Government of Andhra Pradesh-sponsored Nandi Awards have been declared for the year 2008. Gamyam (directed by Radha Krishna a.k.a. Krish) and Vinayakudu (directed by Sai Kiran Adivi) have bagged the awards for Best Film and second Best Film respectively. With awards going to these two films that were made on a shoestring budget, small filmmakers in the industry must be upbeat.
Gamyam that starred Allari Naresh and Sharwanand in lead roles, was a tale of self-discovery where the rich guy Sharwanand gets to know of the real world outside and gets transformation.A film that sensitively portrayed the emotional journey of one lead when he trudges villages and highways in search of his love life, Gamyam was heart-rending when audience saw Naresh dying in the end.
On the other hand, Vinayakudu is a simple love story based in Cyberabad. Produced by Saritha Patra, the Krishnudu-starrer (who will next be seen in Village Lo Vinayakudu, wrongly touted as a sequel) was a romantic comedy that fared decently at the box-office.The hero here is a fat man who loves a girl but the heroine does not reciprocate until she is attracted to his inner personality one fine day.
As two of films made with distinct subjects get the covetous Nandi, it's a milestone Tollywood will savour for long. However, the biggest surprise was 'Parugu' which has been adjudged third Best Film. The film, directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar had Allu Arjun and Sheela playing the leads, was said to have many scenes that seemed to be a rip off of real life situations in Chiranjeevi's family.
Though it was an average film at the BO and does not boast of much entertainment values either, jurists felt it deserved a Nandi. Well, what can one say at the decision of the eminent panel?
