SRK to play lead in 'Kanchana'? - JustTollywood.com News
It is definitely an achievement of sorts for Lawrence. He has no BO scorcher to his credit, only inspiring commercial hits, but Raghava would be making a leapfrog to Bollywood. Why we call it a 'leapfrog' is because, unlike, say, AR Murugadoss, he has no super hit that can be called a biggest blockbuster of the year etc. Larencce will direct the Hindi remake version of Kanchana. Guess who would be playing Larencce and Sharath Kumar's roles? Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Dutt, respectively. Other important details regarding the remainder cast and technical crew is not out as yet. However, it is clear that SRK and Sanjay Dutt are excited about playing a possessed man and a transgender in this acclaimed Tamil-Telugu bi-lingual released in 2010.

Silk Smitha's bro complains about Dirty Picture - JustTollywood.com News
Nagavaraprasad may be an ordinary lorry driver in Eluru, but the brother of late Silk Smitha is in news, thanks to Milan Luthria's Dirty Picture. He can't be silent over the alleged apathy being shown by the producers of the biopic. He laments the fact that although the makers of Vidya Balan's retro movie had earlier said that their film was based on the life of Silk Smitha, they made a volte-face when he approached the court objecting to its making without his consent.
He demands that a special screening of the film be arranged for him and his lawyer, and the film can subsequently be released only if he is convinced that there is nothing objectionable in the way the movie depicts his late sister's life. "There is mystery surrounding the death of my sister. Many doubts have not been cleared. Given this, how could the makers go about making the movie without our prior consent? I want justice. I have already sent notices to the producers and the Censor Board. However, I am sad that it could not elicit a response from them so far." It may be noted that on her recent visit to Hyderabad, Vidya Balan explictly denied that Dirty Picture is based on Silk's life. Those involved with the film maintain that DP is only inspired by Smitha's life.
Will Sakuni perk up Praneetha's career? - JustTollywood.com News
Despite the glamorous looks and girl-next-door demeanor, Praneetha has not been able to make it in Telugu. For one, she had a blessing in the form of a film opposite Siddharth. Much to her dismay, Bava tanked at the BO.What most of us do not know is that she has bounced back in Kollywood. Udayan, the trendy and commercial film, in which she delivered a decent performance, gave her the first break. In no time, she found herself in the film being made with Karthi - Sakuni. This being a Sankranthi release, chances are Pranitha will only gear up for bigger endeavours if she manages to pull off her role.
The good news is that the film will be released in Telugu as well. Talks are on for dubbing it in Telugu and if everything goes well Bellamkonda Suresh will release it in Telugu. The film has familiar faces like Kota Srinivasa Rao, Roja and Radhika, among others. Pranitha has a great opportunity in this Karthi-starrer; because, coming as it does after Na Peru Shiva, Shakuni stands good chances of opening to impressive reception.

She rumouredly liked the role and even expressed her willingness to allot the call sheets.
As was reported earlier, the role has got negative shades to it. Since Venky's wife would be Mahesh's vadinamma in the film, there was so much cogitation over who should be picked for the role. It was being said till recently that Sneha might become the final choice since she has not acted with Mahesh till date. Sri RamaRajyam Movie Review - JustTollywood.com News
Synopsis:
Sri Rama Rajyam is the remake of Legend NTR’s Lava Kusa. It is an interestingly woven subject of Lava Kusa using latest technology of Grading, Digital Intermediate, Sets. The story is basically the later part of Ramayana written by Valmiki Maharshi when Rama sent Sita to forest and later how the twin boys of Rama – Lava and Kusa reach Ayodhya and later Sita joins her Bhoodevi in the end.
Performances:
When this project was actually announced, every one had their own doubts about the performances of Balayya and Nayantara as Rama and Sita. Not that they were bad actors but the mark late NTR and Anjali Devi made on the minds of Telugu people is everlasting. Even after watching the movie, I will be afraid if I can compare this pair with those legends but I can firmly say that there is no one in the current generation who can closely do as this pair. They put their heart and soul in every thing. Balayya’s expressions during the agony he undergoes after the pregnant Sita was sent to forest and later when Sita reaches her mother’s lap are immaculate.
Nayantara looked serene in the role of Sita in normal clad clothes in the forest. This is her best performance till date. Akkineni Nageswar Rao, the living legend lived up to his stature as Valmiki Maharishi and proved his mettle as an actor. Srikanth as Lakshman is good but can do better. Brahmanandham as Chakali Tippadu does good in the little role. Roja is good as Bhoodevi. The kids who played Lava and Kusa does well too. Rest of the characters all performed to their requirement.
Technical Departments:
Bapu – Ramana, what can we say about this combo. They are proud offspring of Telugu culture and heritage. One would wonder at the dedication and application this duo even in eighties. Even though Ramana is not amidst us today, no body can take the credit from him. He scripted one of the finest movie for the current and forthcoming generations to protect our epics. Take a bow!
Bapu is an outstanding example for current generation. He took care in every minute details of the movie right from make up. He drew best performance from each and every artist including the kids. His hard work can be seen in every frame on the screen.
Ilayaraja – Music is the important detail for a mythological movie to get people connected to it. Even though the music released few months ago, the songs are still chart busters. And coming to the Back ground music, I wonder what magic did he spell on the screen. The story of Lava Kusa require subtle and soothing back ground score as the movie portrays the emotions of characters in the movie. He did perfect justice and set perfect mood for the movie. Jonnavithula’s lyrics are crystal clear with out difficult language and will enthrall all the audience irrespective of classes
Producer Sai Babu – I rarely write much about a producer in my reviews but this man deserves few lines. Spending some 20 odd crores on a movie which is treated as out of trend in current times is definitely a courageous act. That too banking on two 80 year old men – Bapu and Ramana. I guess Sai Babu must have had sleepless nights once Ramana garu breathed his last in the midst of the movie. The production values in the movie are awesome – The sets by Magadheera fame Ravinder, Visual effects by Top VFX companies including Kamal Kannan (Magadheera fame).
Final Say:
The movie screenplay is evidently a bit slow as it is a mythological movie but the performances, visual grandeur will bind you to the seats. The makers of the movie have delivered a near to perfect product in the form of Sri Rama Rajyam. It would be too harsh to compare it with the old Lava Kusa but this is the closest a movie produced in current generation could come. It would be a shame if this movie fails at box office. They did their part to protect our heritage. Its our responsibility now to get them profits if at all we expect such movies in future. Watch it!

Sri RamaRajyam the 'visual poetry' on Nov.17 - JustTollywood.com News
It was with the aim of making a distinguished film that will become one of the most wonderful visual poetries in the history of Telugu cinema, that Yelamanchili Sai Babu (producer) started off with the production more than a year back. Directed by Bapu, the amazing maker with an aesthetic oeuvre to boast of, the film that has been in production for a long time & the first copy to censor Board on 11th November for its censor formalities, is releasing on Nov. 17.The film's songs, set to tunes by Maestro Illayaraja, have mesmerized the listeners, says the producer.
Saying that the wait of the audience to see Balakrishna in the avatar of Lord Ram is over, the makers say that Sri Rama Rajyam is a complete devotional flick.Much, over much, was spoken in hush hush tones when Nayanatara was selected to play Goddess Sita's role. Let the sceptics be reminded that Bapu is not a superficial maker. When he cast Nayan for the role, he must have had a vision in mind. Our gut feeling is that Sri Rama Rajyam would be a one-of-its-kind mythological caper, which cannot be compared with any yesteryear film of that genre. We could see a human and youthful Rama with a spirit for celebration
