The film is being directed by GV.Sudhakar Naidu (GV) and jointly produced by GV and C.Manohar under the joint banner of Golden Lions Films and God Father Films. Chakri is composing the tunes for the film.

The macho hero during an interview to a popular Television channel said he is planning a sequel to action super flick ‘Anthahpuram’ directed by Krishna Vamsi. Talking candidly about his forthcoming release ‘Gaayam 2’, Jagapathi Babu said that it took more than 10 years to do a sequel to ‘Gaayam’ and to think about ‘Gaayam 3’ is quite a distant project.

Talking about his future projects, Jagapathi Babu revealed, he himself has scripted a sequel to ‘Anthahpuram’ where he played a power packed cameo. Controversy’s favourite child Ramgopal Varma has been receiving legal notices and threat calls right from the beginning of the announcement of his ambitious faction movie ‘Rakta Charitra’. The latest news is that family of slained faction leader Obul Reddy of Anantapur have raised their questions on the genuineness of the portrayal of characters pertaining to their family in the movie.

It might sound complicated but aren’t controversies supposed to be complicated? As ‘Rakta Charitra’ is inspired from the feud between Paritala Ravi and Suri, it also involves other characters including the aforesaid Obul Reddy who is one of the main opponents of Paritala Ravi. In real life, Obul Reddy was a strong political figure who was assassinated in Hyderabad and so were his father and brother. Thinking that their family has been portrayed in a bad way, the sisters of Obul Reddy, Uma Rani and Usha Rani, have sent a legal notice to RGV through their lawyer informing him to show them ‘Rakta Charitra’ before the release.

Reacting to their allegations, the calm and straightforward RGV reiterated his stand that the movie is only inspired and a fictional account of the real story of the people involved in Anantapur. RGV said he received threat calls telling he would be killed, if the movie is released. Unafraid, RGV firmly gave a counter saying he will release the movie without showing it to anybody, even if Obul Reddy’s ghost haunts him.

Controversies or none, ‘Rakta Charitra’ is boiling hot with a lot of expectations. The movie’s coming to theaters in last week of September.

He did it once again on Saturday when the theme song composed by him for the Common Wealth Games was released at a glittering ceremony in New Delhi. If one has to go by reports, within two hours of the song’s release, it was downloaded more than 7,000 times. As Rahman croons ‘Khelo, jeeyo, hey-o, let's go…’, the rousing chorus takes the song forward, thereby giving an emotional appeal.

On Saturday, the Oscar-Grammy winner sung the song for around five minutes in front of a gathering which included Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, her Haryana counterpart Bhupinder Singh Hooda and CWG Organising Committee Chairman Suresh Kalmadi.“I feel honored to get the opportunity to compose the theme song for the mega-event. It was not an easy task. I had started composing it six months ago and finished just last night,” the Mozart of Madras said.

At a time when a lot of buzzes are doing rounds about the Tamil remake of ‘3 Idiots’, director of the Bollywood blockbuster Raju Hirani has confirmed that the film is being remade in south Indian languages. Speaking at the DVD launch of the Aamir Khan starrer in Mumbai, the filmmaker said, “The movie will be soon made in Telugu and Tamil. But I don’t know who will play the lead there.”

“I think they (producers and director of the Tamil version) are currently in the process of casting,” Hirani said and added that he has no plans to make a sequel to ‘3 Idiots’. “I am not with that idea,” he said. There were reports that a popular production house has acquired the remake rights of ‘3 Idiots’ and Shankar will direct both the Telugu and Tamil versions. “While Mahesh Babu will replace Aamir Khan in Telugu, Vijay will play the role in Tamil,” reports said.

An updated message from Allu Sirish, his youngest son, says that the producers, Kanakaratna Movies, are having issues that they have to solve before release.

The distributor ‘Geetha Films’ are ready to release the movie at any given time. As the distributor’s work starts only after receiving the movie’s prints, Sirish requested the fans to stay calm. The movie is most likely to be released in October or if the issues are solved earlier, the movie might be released in September itself

Yuva Samrat Nagarjuna dubbed at a recording studio in Hyderabad for ‘Thakita Thakita’ on Tuesday, 24th August.

According to Producer Bhoomika who spoke to media, said that Nagarjuna is playing himself in the movie as Nagarjuna, the hero. Nag extended all his cooperation even though it was a guest role. It is learnt from sources that he finished his dubbing in a very short time.

Bhoomika also told that Nagarjuna and her husband Bharat Thakur were very good friends and Nag accepted to be part of the couple’s first production venture ‘Thakita Thakita’ of their production company ‘Down Town Films’. Interestingly, Bhoomika made her debut in ‘Yuvakudu’, produced by Nagarjuna for Annapoorna Studios banner ten years ago. Anushka, formerly a Yoga teacher with Bharat Thakur is also playing a guest role in 'Thakita Thakita' which is releasing on September 3rd.

They are totally false and have ulterior motives.”

Claiming that some were trying to damage her image, Trisha said she had approached her advocate in this regard. “I will initiate necessary legal action based on the advice from my lawyer,” she said. Trisha added: “It’s shameful the extent people would go to bring someone down. Actors are here to do their jobs and not be used for false media publicity. The disgusting news that's been spreading about me is absolutely false and done in bad taste.”

Some days back it was announced that Nandamuri hero Kalyan Ram Who always likes to do his films without any publicity is now gearing up for a new flick that has Sana Khan pairing opposite him and who is also making her Telugu debut with this film as well. The film has been titled as ‘Katti’ before but as the producer Danayya has already registered with the same title, the NTR arts banner has decided to change the title for Kalyan Ram film and to go in Mahesh Babu’s way. The unit decided to add prefix Kalyan Ram to Katti and to rename it as ‘Kalyan Ram Katti’ just as Mahesh did it for ‘Mahesh Khaleja’.

Sources said that as the film chamber has passed a new rule that if the similar title by adding such prefixes comes, first they should bring no objection certificate (NOC) from the producer who originally registers it. So finally Kalyan Ram decided to go for a new title and not Katti now. It is being directed by Malli who earlier directed Kalyan Ram’s ‘Abhimanyu’ and is being produced by NTR Arts banner. Mani Sharma is scoring the music. The upcoming actress Saranya Mohan is playing Kalyan Ram’s sister in the film.
