Comedy at its peak' says Venky - JustTollywood.com News

Venkatesh has raised our level of expectations on his forthcoming film Namo Venkatesha by claiming that the comedy in the film sees a pinnacle of comedy. Saying that Sreenu Vaitla has got a good timing in choreographing comedy sequences, Venkatesh said that the comedy he has enacted in the film will be at its zenith.
The actor said that Namo.. will be "a perfect" release for Sankranthi, with Trisha's presence and Devi Sri's music and Brahmanandam's comedy forming a highlight.Vaitla said, "I feel happy for making a film with Venkatesh babu, who like the most. Though this is the first film for the producers Ramu, Gopi and Anil, they have made it with perseverance and brought it out lavishly."
The 14 Reels Entertainment film will be watched out for comedy, since Venkatesh, Vaitla and Brahmanandam have claimed that it is a full-fledged comedy.

Uday Kiran-Swetha Basu Prasad's new film has been titled Nuvvekkadunte Nenakkadunta. It is known that the film has been shot in Puducherry for most part, and Hyderabad and Chennai to a good extent too. Directed by Subha Selvam, the film is produced by Eshwar Prasad and D Kumar, under the banner Sri Venkateshwara Swamy Films.
Pradeep Koneru is composing the music. For the fans of Uday Kiran, the film holds some promise because it is a full-on love story, where the 'chocolate boy' Kiran will be seen romancing Swetha.Also, expect the actor to serenade with the Kasko girl, on the shores of the Puducherry beach. For the actor, however, the film is extremely important because he has not had a single hit for many years now.
His films Ekalavyudu, Gunde Jhallumannadi, Viyyalavari Kayyalu flopped continuously. Meanwhile, he acted in the Tamil films Poi and Vambu Sandai, which did not help him catapult to the starry orbit.Hope, Nuvvekkadunte.. brings the glorious Nuvvu Nenu days back to him.

If there is anything that has been good about Year 2009 for Telugu cinema, it's the potential that the producers and filmmakers realized that the box office held. If 'Arundhati' and 'Magadheera' simply ruled the box office, 'Kick', 'Arya2', 'Bumper Offer' and 'Bendu Apparao' crossed the expectations of their makers, with Kick raking over Rs. 22 cr.So, if Anushka's graphics-significant film and Charan's visually wowee historical love story were the greatest box office winners, Ravi Teja's madcap humour and Allu Arjun-starrer 'Arya2' were leaders too.
Seems that all was not well for Tollywood though. The industry continued to lose crores of rupees for piracy and total absence of starers during the Sankranthi, Summer and Dussehra. Involvement of youth and mass rages like Pawan Kalyan, NTR Jr. meant no films from them. Mahesh Babu took his time off and started a film with Trivikram long after memories of Athidhi's failure fazed out of his fans' minds.
As Chiru was making a flop innings in politics, Balakrishna confidently juggled politics and films, by making time in the thick of his campaigning for TD, for his May disaster Mitrudu. Nagarjuna and Venkatesh did not produce blockbusters. Worsening the situation, Prabhas, who has good admiration among the masses, dampened Tolly spirits with Ek Niranjan, in associated with Puri Jagannadh. Ditto with Saleem.
Producers continued to burn their hands, while exhibitors and distributors were left in the lurch. December held some promise with over a dozen films (yes, literally dozen), but film business suffered a radical blow because of bandhs and hartals that took a toll on cinema without a respite.
